I am 73 and lived in Garmisch P in 1955 to 1957. My father was a doctor serving military time at the base there. We lived in the army apartments and went to the army school there. It was two of the best years of my life, magical. We learned to ski on one afternoon each week as our physical education program. I cried all the way to the Munich airport to fly back to the states to return home We left behind a wonderful older woman named Erica Bauer that helped our family that we dearly loved.

Been there several times, last trip in 2007. Now will be going again in March to show our 13 year old daughter. Thanks for the video as it shows everything still just as beautiful as before. Can't wait to be there soon.
Will you be staying in Garmisch-Partenkirchen? If so, I suggest two choices. One is Brenner Pass, which is about 1.5 hr drive away. The other is Neuschwanstein Castle, which is about an hour away. Both offer spectacular views.@@chahranar
Our fave place to visit in winter. We are back again in Feb 2024. I cannot wait for the lovely walks, Eibsee,Fussen and all around. Lovely to see it hasn’t changed much. Such a beautiful Place Garmisch Partenkirchen. Just so lovely, can’t wait… couple of months and we will be there. ❤️
