It does become firmer but it's not like rock hard crash ride. If the car has adaptive suspension then that will definitely help also.
Loving the mods, particularly Zed’s coding. Dealer just called, G21 coming this week after being stuck in lockdown en-route for 3 months!

Hahaha....yes I was clearly so excited I couldn't contain it lol. I guess if I have any suspension issues then warranty will be void on that area. But if the engine was to have an issue I doubt there would be a correlation if that makes sense....
Andrew Lee I had my m240 lowered at Motech and BMW uk just said keep the original springs and if you give it back make sure they're back on, no issues whatsoever
Just found you and watched all your videos on the G20 back to back. Great work! Trading in my 2019 RS5 for the 330i in the next 2 days, can’t wait. Completely different cars I know but time to change, and reduce the heavty monthly repayments! Anyway, loving the videos so keep it up!

Would you not consider side skirts on the 3 series? Something similar to that 135!
Side skirts are next.....when I done the rest of the kit I was waiting delivery for the side skirts and then Covid came along as an unexpected guest who is kinda outstanding its welcome right now. Because of that my order has been placed on a back order. Soon though!

Looks really nice mate. I have m140i with standard suspension and want to get this done but I'm worried about the ride quality. Will it affect much in your opinion when compared to adaptive?
Good question. I lowered my M140i with the adaptive suspension and made little difference to the ride. I've driven M140i's on stock suspension and they are firm and jittery. I can only assume that they will become much firmer. But it will look great though....

Yes the lights are self leveling so no issues there
Looks Smart, does it require wheel alignment ? Any noticeable different with then steering wheel, off centre or absolutely no change ?
Will need Wheel Alignment as mentioned towards end of the vid. No difference with the steering at all. It's all centred. Giving it a few hundred miles before I get the wheel alignment done.
Hi . Love the video . Need a favour on where to get the part & who can fit it please. Bought a new 520d m sport a day before lockdown 😀. Jordan Smith @ Sytner Solihull did a great job. Went to get the new g20 & ended up getting the 5 series 🤔 Don’t like the silver grille at the front. Where is the best place to order a gloss black grill surround as the middle part is shut anyway. Also who can fit it . If you could point me in the right direction would very much appreciate it. Keep up the great vids - even simple ones on cleaving chrome exhaust pipe was handy 👍
Theres loads of black grills on Ebay or or better still just get your chrome ones wrapped in glass black....Wrap Art in Birmingham are decent. Check out my G20 or M4 wrap vid. Detail of Wrap Art in the vid.

I put a set of h and r on my last golf r and regretted it in the end. 2018 mk 7.5. Id be slow enough to do it again. I have a white 2020 330e. Ill have to see how you get on for another bit id say. Your car looks better no doubt from a stance viewpoint. By the end I found myself wincing in the golf every time I hit a pothole. And here in Ireland there are plenty to round 😉
I've ran Eibachs on my M140i for over 2 years and had no issues. M4 is a different beast altogether but this set up on here seems good. Road comfort levels are decent.
@@DownShiftThrottle nice one. 👌👍 As I say I only had experience in the golf with and r and I felt I fucked up the ride know what I mean. Maybe the eiback are a better solution so might have a think about it again. Looks great 👍
I've always had Eibach as I've been in H&R lowered cars like the M140i. H&R gives a more lowered look but you're right the ride is much firmer to an equivalent Eibach spring. Each to their own I guess.

On UK roads my old lowered F32 used to crash a lot over bumps. Does it crash at all with the 20mm drop you did?
My 2017 LCi F30 (which this car replaced) was riding on 19" wheels, same run flats and standard non adaptive suspension and the ride quality was choppy. It crashed over potholes etc. This with standard springs was 10 times better compared to the F30 for ride quality. With the 20mm of course you will feel the difference but I'm pleased to honestly say that it has made very little difference to the overall refinement. Trust me I'm forever going over speed bumps etc.

Just a quick question. Was going to get the grill wrapped but found out from BMW that the warranty won’t be applicable. Also need to inform car insurance as well as price could change or refuse to insure you ?
Is that correct ? A lot of hassle for just getting a kidney grill outer wrapped !?
Lol never heard of such an issue. Hoe is your warranty on the engine/gearbox voided by the wrapping on a grill...inform your insurance though
Bro. How is it with bumps like we got in London? You got the lip and have it lowered. This is my ideal but I’m worried if o do both then I will be screwed every time I go over a bump! Considering going for one or the other. What do you think as you’ve done it?
I've not had any issues. Obviously you got to be careful but never really had do crawl over a speed bump

I have a g21 330i, non M sport.. how many mm should i lower it front & rear?
I'd go 20mm rear and 25mm front.
you need to have a wheel alignment after you lowered it

I lowered mine with H&R but having some knocking noise on the struct cupping rubbing. Do you have any problem or noise when turns at parking speed or slow speed?
Hey....no I'm all good on mine. Strange that. I'd get that checked in case the springs are not sitting right.
@@DownShiftThrottle When I turn left / right within maybe 5km I have that "knocking noise" from the "Spring/Struct" area. Took it back to the shop and they checked everything. Everything was installed fine but they grease up the "Spring and the Top Plate" area. Noise out for about 1 week but came back again. Installer said it could be the "Coating" of the spring rubbing the top plate cupping.
How is this suspension compare to bmw original M suspension? Does ur car not equip with M suspension?

Looks good got a question for you way off subject but how have you got your seat set up I'm 5.5 and I'm struggling to get comfy it keeps diging into the back of my legs sorry for probably a stupid question but it's the only annoying thing about a fantastic car any suggestions
I'm surprised because these seats are way more comfortable and supportive compared to any 3 series that came before it. You can adjust the leg extension if that helps it from digging in.

No issues at all. It's a compliant set up
