The tab you cut off is there so yuou can get the Command Strip off the wall. Without the tab, you'll have to use brute force to remove the strip, which can damage the wall. So you'll probably have to leave the curtain rod supports there when you leave the place for good.
Yep, that tab is needed to remove the adhesive when it's time to move. She'll be crying when trying to take them down.

You're right. When she tries to take the Command strip off, she could try dragging dental floss between the strip and the wall. That has worked for me in the past when that little piece that you pull to get it off has snapped off on me.
Ya, that tab is 100% so that you can get the strip off the wall without damaging the surface...

Thx for sharing I use command strips throughout my home for various projects. FYI those strips holds 4lbs per pair. It would take 4 pairs to hold 16 lbs, 2 pairs holds 8lbs eta. Info listed on the packaging. Hopes this helps fellow DIYers.

Thanks for this good alternative way of anchoring brackets! I might very well want to do something of the sort, myself, although I may find I'll need to cut away a bit of wall covering behind the bracket (so adhesion is made to the actual wall board, not the 'wall paper'). But I'd try it the easier way first, and see if it holds. 😊

You can hide the hooks by lacing your sheer onto you rod in the second row of the sheer. You will end up with a tiny edge to the she and cover most of your hooks.

NO! Do not cut off the tab. They are meant to be pulled straight down when you want to remove the Command Hook without damaging the walls.

Thanks for sharing. I saw another lady do hers a little different. But my question of concern is why would you hang your curtains at two different levels and get two different colors??? One has no pattern. The other has a pattern...😮

You can get them pretty much anywhere. Walmart, Target, or any other store of the like that is near you. They're normally in the "Hardware" section of the store where they keep the nails.
They don’t stick ppl . Maybe last for a little while then they fall. don’t waste your money
