As sweet as they were--I think it kind of works for this recipe. I would say you could probably cut out a quarter of the sugar without it negatively affecting the taste. If you try it let me know how it works. I'd love to know too!
I will try either today if my energy returns but if not tomorrow. I will also be using agar powder rather than flakes and a smaller pan. I like a thicker bar. I also think I would cook the crust just a bit more than wehat your crust looked like...maybe till a touch golden at the edges. I was thinking thats why it crumbled on you when you sliced it. Thanks for sharing.

It could have stayed in for a few more minutes--but it wasn't really underdone.
Where did you find agar agar? The knife after the seed seemed like an unfair fight!
I suggest getting the agar agar from Amazon! I think the powder (not the flakes) seems to work better :)
