I've not a lot of experience with Purges, but I could solo through 8 with minor help from Lian at half level with nothing but a wall and door. Didn't try harder till I moved locations and used terrain to do the job for me. It's changed a lot since I last did one. No more Boss Crocs eating my foundations out of sight of my Gaurds/Gate houses etc. Awesome video! Even if old at the time of comment here/After last update. Love the outpost design & ideas. Thanks!
Yeah, they don't last very long. I thought about doing this defense after watching another video but they just don't last long enough to be worth it. Too bad they didn't have higher strength options that could last an entire purge.
Recently I did a purge with palisades on an official server. The purge npcs would take bleed effects but after a while I noticed they were not taking any damage. After the purge I looked under the trap doors and most of my palisades were gone. Considering how expensive it is to make palisades, they should not disappear like that. This is not a good change by FUNCOM.
I wanted to create a japanese dojo theme in K7 near the eastern barracks using the natural stone as defense but the damned palisades really did not want to cooperate. Makes me thankful i can create an "afk" base in 7 days to die and come back to a pile of loot instead of my treasury destoryed in conan :p

I wonder if the palisades do enough damage that they are used up and that's why they disappear. As in they may be getting damaged as they do damage.

the palisades are bering used up when the enemies touch it and they get a bleed effect

And the trap still doesn't work. Unfortunately there is very little effort for defense in this game.

too get those flaming cauldrons without admin spawning requires you to do a ton of purges.
what level are your defending thralls, archers and fighters, i see they are in low end armor
