I really like the bang-for-the-buck with SmallRig's stuff. When it comes to lights so far it seems like the Godox VL series offers pretty good quality for the price. Thanks for yet another great and informative vid.
Dude, this is amazing. Any chance you might be able to do this same kind of analysis on the lower budget Amaran lights like the 60d and maybe other Amaran lights? I don’t know how to learn all this info but, I need to learn how to do this stuff. Haha
It wasnt quite enough to warrant a gel. If you check out the Color Science for Dummies video, once the CC index hits a whole number, then it recommends gels. On the WB chart it may look like a large shift, but it’s not enough to warrant a plus green gel. Now that cinema cameras can adjust tint in camera, you could fix it by just going +1 in camera. Which would be the equivalent of the filter the Sekonic is suggesting. 🙌🏼 Thanks for watching!
informative. Not sure what kind of setup to put a light and reflector that has that kind of fall off in. Not great in a frame. No, not another "bang it into the ceiling" thing!
So Justin I saw your video about your milvus lenses and you said you need to possibly invest in proper cinema glass. Since I also love my milvus lenses, what would be your top two runner ups yo replace them ? Tokina glass ?DZO ? Some other ?
I would def go for Tokina before DZO. Something thats important to me is reputation. So if a client has never heard of your gear, that’s not going to help you get hired. 🤷🏼♂️

Great review, Justin! Thanks for all the work you put in these.
Where can I find your FS-300 review?
It’s the Color Science for Dummies video
Really enjoying your channel! I’m confused how you’re meter is telling you the light doesn’t need gels, while also showing a massive magenta shift.

I was wondering about the quality of this light! Any chance you can do something similar for Aputure's Amaran series? Thanks for the detailed review.
What about some tough spun on the front
I wait until the end.
Don't worry there are still some of us that want to watch the whole video

What would be the best way to go about using this light for real estate video with it reflecter and defusing it?
Amaran 200X seems much better and compatible with the Sidus app... but, cost a little more !
