    Why the heck don't you provide these instructions with the Uniflow? Completely opaque as to how to disassemble it until I found this video..

    I used a clean, dry cotton cloth to wipe everything. Then a clean, cotton cloth with mineral spirits (I already had, so no additional expense) for the metal parts. Clean, cotton cloth with alcohol for the plastic (already had the alcohol, too.)
    NvdwarriorLtc, the bow washer goes on concave side first, toward the unit, 'hump' side out, toward the lock nut.

    This guy has assembled and disassembled the unit so fast it's hard to follow.

    What about cleaning the rest of the parts? And the instrutcions say to clean where the hopper attaches. How do you get it off? If you're going to take the time to make an instructional video, please be more thorough.

      The plastic hopper is a sort of press fit (no threads). Just wiggle it out (carefully).

    It's not rocket-science to assemble or disassemble this unit, but in my case it has sat for the past 20+ years - on the bench-and it's totally seized-up. It will certainly take a wooden mallet and at least, some 'KROIL' to get it apart; then the alcohol, I guess. Time will tell!

    A word of advise ~ Brake cleaner ( NAPA ) eats plastic . Great on metal but not plastic

    • @kcb3887
      @kcb3887 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Non-chlorinated is better but it may still cloud the plastic. I wouldn't use it unless the whole unit was disassembled.

    Easy enough to disassemble, but I agree, poorly written instructions on the very important step of cleaning ... I wish they would suggest other cleaners (maybe something I already have in the house or garage) that would work in regards to degreasing ... or do I HAVE to go out and plunk more money down on a RCBS cleaner? Anyone try brake' cleaner on the metal pieces? RCBS must think, if you cant figure it out ... you shouldn't be reloading ammo! I'm thankful for the people on TH-cam that take the time out to shoot these videos & to help me solve some of the problems I run into (on a daily basis).

    I used rubbing alcohol on everything. If it's good enough for the hopper why not everything else. only reason he doesn't spray the hopper is cleaner will eat the plastic. be my guess. the alcohol cuts the grease and drys quick

    I can't find any instructions online for the Uniflow II. Only for the original version and the Uniflow III.

    Instead of die cleaner would brake cleaner also work?

    • @user-co2wo7ej2f

      I used a can of Acetone on the steel and metal parts. It's what I had in the shop.

    I have a AR 10 and a savage 110 bolt action. Can I use the same brass cartridge when I reload for both . ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR EQUIPMENT. I keep buying more stuff for them .

    There is no way I'm going out to buy a can of die cleaner that probably costs $15.00. What else can safely be used?

    PLEASE HELP! How do I attach the hopper? Seems like it doesn’t fit. Weird design that it’s pressure fit and not threaded. (Mine came cracked in shipment, so they just sent a hopper but no installation tips.) I’m afraid I’m going to crack it when I install it, just like the guy did with the original one. ☹️

      Kevin OKeefe there is a large and a small drum kit. It sounds like you have the large drum installed. Try switching to the small drum. I think they sell them at midway

    What product should be used to remove powder bonded to the inside of the hopper ? Or will it stay there forever ?

    • @tastysurprise
      @tastysurprise 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      some will stay forever but you can use alcohol and a toothbrush to get the big chunks off, my hopper is discolored from powder and will probably stay that way.

    Uselees. I only wish i had bought another brand. I took it out of the box & started to clean it & the hopper just broke off with not one tiny bit of a bump. Its honestly not fit for sale.

    Question. The bow washer on re-installation...which way should the bow face, in towards the hopper or away towards the locknut? Just curious if it makes a difference. Thanks for the help. My new Rock Chucker Supreme is outstanding!
