Paris - the French capital is renowned for many things, but the city is said to be especially beautiful in the run-up to Christmas.
The boulevards are decorated with festive lights, and the big stores compete for the best displays. Visitors can even ice skate on top of the famous Galeries Lafayette, overlooking the city.
