its so nice to see in this video how the technique of look to where you're going is indispensable, and sadly its a thing that a lot of casual riders dont know or dont do.
Not needed. They're not going anywhere near fast enough or for long enough to justify the extra mass. You don't really even need it on the street. You do on track because you're breaking hard into every corner. The disc is essentially a big heatsink. When you brake you put heat into it and when you go fast it dissipates that heat into the atmosphere, much slower than it heated up. Having two instead of one means you can soak up double the heat until they start overheating, which is helpful if for instance you're braking hard from a fast bit into a technical bit. Having that second disc can make the difference between consistent performance through the whole technical section and brake fade setting in halfway through, messing up your time. In moto gymkhana your top speed is MAYBE halfway up 1st gear and your total run time is under a minute. Even the one disc is overkill. You just don't need the extra heat capacity, so why not save the weight? As for power, that's down to tyre grip, as always. You might need a different master cylinder to make it feel right, but you're really not giving up any braking power by taking off the second disc.
@@cnealmartin well this is gymkhana. Yes they have track days in japan. No this is not lame. Yes these guys would run circles around you on a track or not, now thats lame shit.

Target fixation really helps. We should apply it.
Superb throttle control!!!!!
Supermoto seems like it was be a great choice for this, but i love that they're also using superbikes 😍
Superb brake control
Excellent skills.
This looks super fun but I would drop my bike so much lol
Thats why they have those crash bars.
@@thatlinuxguywtf is a „crashbar“ ? 🙃
Oh on the side of the engine … ok ok 😆👍👍
All of the sportbikes did it in 41 seconds. The supermotos did it in 40 seconds. Doesn't sound like a lot, but the supermotos kicked ass!!
That's the only time supermoto can come out on top

which Tyre they use ? grip is superb , amazingly skilled people , each one perfect breaking and maneuvering
Except the guy who ate crap in the finish box from too much front break lol! Otherwise solid run.

why... they use single disk in front?
Less braking power for trail braking?
