I wish Pop would post Wemby on the block. Like keep running that 5 down play we used to love seeing him run with Pop and Tim over and over and over that opposing teams couldn’t stop.
On nights when his outside shot isn’t falling, switch to post game and go from KD to Tim/DRob mode. Who can block Wemby’s shot when he’s that close to the rim? Not many.
The second game was ruined solely by Wemby. Can't do anything vs much shorter players, shooting logo 3s instead. Pure cringe. Pop should remind the kid of his place.
Wemby needs to be more like Tim and less like KD. It’s great that he can be a combination of KD, Dirk and Tim but there are moments in the game where he needs to be more like Tim scoring in the paint.
Victor Wembanyama is a stretch big and is capable of spacing the floor for his teammates. Yes, last night was a frustrating loss, but at the end of the day, the rebuild is still not yet complete for the Spurs. Also, Victor Wembanyama can also score in the paint, but to optimize Victor Wembanyama, both his finishing over smaller players and pick and pops to accentuate his shooting prowess is the optimal way to use Victor Wembanyama.
@@vishnujayakumar1846no he’s not. Last year he barely shot 32% from three if he was a guard he be Westbrook. He needs to take advantage of being 7’4+ with skill and soft touch. Not 6’4 with a bad shot and questionable dribbling skills. I love the spurs and Vic but if he wants to be the best player in the league then he needs to get easy buckets then he can stretch out and shoot once he’s hot.
I think the Spurs on the same talent level as the Rockets right now and that was without two rotation guys in Vassell and Jones. It will be interesting to see which team can pull ahead of the other in the next few months, hopefully no major injuries.
Keenan I don’t think there is 1 show about SAS like this one. All 3 of you guys at this venture do a solid job. I really enjoy this content, analysis post game. A market as big as SAT-AUS does not have quality sports talk comparable to markets this size. I think you are adding something that has been missing for the fans of the SAS.
I think Victor Wembanyama needs a stellar scorer and shot-creator alongside him. Airious Bailey would be perfect for this role for the Spurs, regardless of what the Spurs' odds are and will be to draft Airious Bailey in the 2025 NBA Draft. Airious Bailey fits perfectly on the Spurs. Airious Bailey fits perfectly with Victor Wembanyama and is the scorer, shooter, and shot-creator that Victor Wembanyama truly needs.
We learned that the perimeter defense still sucks especially with pick and roll. We also learned that Wemby still has no post game or mid range. In addition, the Spurs have no point guard to penetrate the defense . It's gonna be another bad year.
Wemby is weakkkkk Dillion shut him down whole game I was at the game very disappointed in wemby Seems to me the spurs don't have a set offense I noticed a lot of time 3 players are bunched up in the corner They rush No movement We need to swing the ball and move set picks cut etc etc Wemby need to lock in on the paint especially when a defender a whole foot shorter than him
Can you imagine Wemby with a baby hook shot? He should work with Tim or DRob on that. He’d be unstoppable because he’d be releasing it so high due to his length nobody could block it.
As a Rockets fan, I wonder why Wemby does all these moves when he could just hold the ball above his head and shoot. Nobody's blocking it. Seems like a lot of wasted energy.
It was a sloppy game, missed open shots and your right Victor is bothered by the physicality. Didn't seem like Adams was being all that physical but maybe he's just that strong.
The Spurs should be thinking about the 2025 NBA Draft now. The 2025 NBA Draft resembles the Spurs' final opportunity to use the draft as a viable means to build around Victor Wembanyama. The Spurs also need a better SF than Keldon Johnson. That was perfectly clear from yesterday night's loss to the Rockets. Keldon Johnson simply is not enough and will not cut it as the long-term main small forward for the Spurs. For this reason and given the Spurs' outlook for strictly this season (if further future performances similar to yesterday's game recur for the Spurs), I like Airious Bailey a lot for them as it pertains to the 2025 NBA Draft.
Pop needs to concentrate on coaching instead of being a political commentator......we are not well coached right now. Maybe stfu about Trump and do your damn job.....smh.

Politics is in sports now with Bosa Mahomes and now Pop or is it just a problem now when it’s not the side you want? He votes and pays taxes like everyone else, he can speak about politics that are going to affect him.

We appreciate that greatly. We do our best to give authentic and honest viewpoints of the Spurs.
We need to do something about them clogging the paint, forces wemby to take tough shots
Wemby needs to make aggressive moves against mismatches

yeah there is still 7 games left to know. Remember TWo key players are injured trae jones and devin vassel
Victor Wembanyama will get there. Just give it time. Also, the Spurs are rebuilding. This was an extremely frustrating game, however.
@@vishnujayakumar1846 you are right. we haven't seen pop screaming in top of his lung every game when players have bad possessions.
I’m a Rocket but the spurs are gonna be a problem.

Not judging them until we get Vassell back then we can go from there

we dont much when wemby isnt scoring..the turnovers is crazy also.. this team been together 3 yrs most of them..why havent they figure this out?
It's Rockets over everybody.
Wemby soft period got punkd by dillion, wemby 7"5 taking bad shots. No elbow post, are deep post. Wemby needs to stepup
