I remember seeing the first BBJ at an NBAA show at PDK in Atlanta, thought holy crap that is some luxury. Was working the ramp so we got to up close and personal with all the new corporate aircraft.
Really enjoyable video. I really liked your sarcasm and it cut the marking BS away so I could understand what the product really is. Thanks for posting. Best Wishes from West Virginia.
@@Puzzoozoo 737 burns more fuel, but maintenance and parts are much lower.Pilots training costs 1/3 of a G550 and many other stuffs are cheaper.Would say BBJ it's only 30-35% more expensive to operate compared with G550.
Yes....10X changes nearly everything..........if it has good payload........airliners converted business jets cannot match, the pressurization, fuel efficiency etc
Dennis, you crack me up. Great vids sharing your knowledge and sense of humor. I'm curious on your thoughts for the Hondajet. It's already on its third iteration.
Dennis you made me laugh about the amount if these BBJs that we have!!😊😊😊 You said 27 aircraft from you research of our President or our U.S. Governmental Fleet that we all pay our taxes for!!😃😃. Our government like other customers receive some discounts when buying big aircraft like this!😀😀😀 I remember former President Bill Clinton flying home to upstate New York and the press greeted him and wanted to talk. It was very beautiful seeing a Gulfstream 450 or 500 with the United States colors on it. This was when Mrs. Clinton was Sec. of State and he Mr. Clinton was doing his book tours after being President. It is so nice to see the U.S. colors on the smaller jets!😊😊😊
Who knew Richarde Gere knew so much about aircraft.
I was about to say the same lol
I love my Gulfstream, but the BBJ is a private jet above all others unless you are limited by weight (TEB) or wingspan (Aspen).
the BBJ can land in most private airports though.
Agreed
That's why I purchased my falcon 8x. For the shorter airports
@@genechronister7085 I've landed BBJs on 5,500 foot runways all day long Gene, The 8x is way better, but not many runways are that short these days.
Minden nv. Is just short enough, for a bbj to not work well.too heavy

The Airbus ACJ TwoTwenty (A220-100) is an interesting new competitor the the 737-700 / 737-7 Max model. I do wonder how well it will sell.

I’ve seen the red BBJ shown in this video in person. Was driving past my local airport and it was there. Pretty cool.
Fantastic video!
What is the hourly operating costs compared to something like a Gulfstream/Global? I’d be intrigued to know.
I would imagine x 3.
7k-12k / hour'ish depending on a number of factors.

Speed and lower altitude pressure in the cabin is the major benefit of a Gulfstream. The space in a BBJ is impressive though.
Can you compare it with other jets like Falcon, Gulfstream, Bombardier in the similar price range
They're still airliners.
The release of the Dassault Falcon 10X will throw a wrinkle into the flagship purpose-built business jet arena.

@@naughtyUphillboy except for the BBJ which will probably have 3x the interior space, but oh well
@@t.3465 landing & takeoff capabilities poor, fuel burn even poorer.
@@naughtyUphillboy land the BBJ at a big airport, take a helicopter to your final destination. Simple
@@t.3465 Naa that is classic logistic complication. Fly fast in better pressurization, I still remember my flight in falcon 7x, it was fucking quiet.

Is it me or does he looks like Pierce Brosnan? Can't tell them apart.
Thanks for the breakdown, I would never now have a BBJ or ACJ, as a dedicated corporate jet/bizjet seems much more practical, as well as resealable.
I thought he was Richard Gere,😂😂😂😂
The pinnacle.
I sure am glad I came across this video BEFORE I went and spent $200million on a new BBJ! 😂😂
I think if you could find a four year old one @40% on the Dollar it’s a buy.
BBJ why???? Because you can!!
