JetMan has a successful venture. So does Flyboard. I don't see why this wouldn't work. The cost for a retail location is the biggest hurdle. I think he should try crowdfunding.
Let's say they can charge $250/hour for this "experience" indoors. 77 hours a week (open 11 hours a day), at $250 per hour (at full booking capacity) is say $1MM per year in revenue - based on one wind tunnel and absolute interest from customers. I can't imagine the facility would make money running at full-tilt until say year 10 with all the overhead needed. I'm guessing they are hoping that "behind an airplane" is the real revenue dream-stream. Cool idea though.
I think there are other revenue models including sponsorships if they can really make it a functional and enjoyable experience. Right now it seems to be in its early stages but once it does hit the mark, it will be the best adrenaline anyone can get flying behind an airplane. But it is going to take a couple years and the investor needs to be invested in it themselves. Also we are unaware of the competition on the horizon. So, yah, a bit too early but not a complete dud. They will need investors with deeper pockets and more importantly a real passion for flying who believes in it as much as the founders do. Tough road ahead for them. But my best wishes for this daring venture.
@@prazonparajuli3466 I was thinking there's other non-sport ideas here too but it's YT so I stayed away from that commentary. Getting FAA approval alone is going to be a great thing for them. There's so many ways to pivot with this idea. I was hoping Branson would bite.
Indoor experience: Bad business, Outdoor experience attached to flying school: Good Business C'mon think from consumer pov: Why would I choose indoor experience when I want to actually have experience of flying outside ? It's like you're asking surfers to surf on artificial pool waves.
It's a wing, they have a natural tendency to stay straight when there's air rushing around them. I'm sure you could mess yourself up, but it's probably more stable than people think.
They need to get past the hurdle of making it legal to fly behind a plane. Then they can get a bunch of planes and boards and sell tickets. The indoor wind tunnel is a dumb idea.
Soon as he said 80-85$ an hour it was DEAD. Jet ski on the beach cost more and that’s a 5k investment to attain that much revenue As opposed to 5mil, and you just standing on a board for an hour. Cool idea but not worth the passion. Somehow something will branch off of this.
I'd say this may be enough to scare off a good amount of the adrenaline junkies(the outdoors part)..........which will probably be their only clientele.
What in the Green Goblin 😂😂😂
Kevin: I'm in court and for those reasons I'm out
Kevin’s probably with Sam fried over at ftx

In a "behind an airplane" scenario, his insurance would be astronomical.

How do you get back on the plane? How do you land it? People are going to break along of those
Plus who would do that over indoor skydiving?
You don't get back on the plane. You let go and deploy a chute. The wing descends on a chute.
Idk being secured to a giant wing being pulled by a plane seems like a bad idea.
So is skydiving, but it looks insanely cool and generates a ton of money.
Good way for a bunch of idiots to rip the arms out of their sockets, nbd.
This would never work. If the person loses balance then the platform will go haywire in the air.

How would they land? Or do they just drop it and use a parachute?
Norman Osborn would like to speak with you regarding a patent issue.
Doctor Osborn
never in my life i would’ve thought smb frm my city would be on shark tank..
Where’s Mr. Wonderful?!?? 😢
Home sick
In court 🤡
In court cuz of ftx 🤣
Court for Fraud
I had no idea
The problem with this is that if something happens while someone is behind the plane. There is no coming back.
they probably have a parachute and a way to detach feet from the board
@@blackwhattack being thrashed around you don’t have the ability to parachute so easily as a free fall.

Hey I live in Huntsville Alabama! Neat.
Barbara gets all the flying she needs from her broom and is out.

Why does it need a handle? Green Goblin didn't need one.
For that reason, I'm out.
