When I first found shoegaze music I thought it was called shoegaze because they were to shy to look up or something
Honestly that probably also plays a part in it lol
Supposedly the origin is that critics initially complained (before the term shoegaze existed) that artists now known as shoegaze stared at their feet (looking at the guitar pedals) too much so pretty close

for the drum mic placent i could suggest to put the mic on top of the snare to have a fuller and thicker snare sound because it sounds very thin in the mix , because you have one mic you could use the wurst technique where you could get basically the whole kit except for the bass drum, and also can i have the flp file i would like to review the mix thanks

if youre just staring i recommend ESP's LTD series. ltd's are amazing guitars for the price, i have two and theyre still the first guitars i pick up when i want to play even after playing for 5 or so years now

@@malakai.2025yup, my 2nd guitar was an esp ltd h-1001 and it's still one of my favorite to play. not as crisp or smooth as a les paul but there's something about them that just feels right
