mine is a very lucky 2 euro thrift find from menswear section - a merino and cashmere blend by Cremieux in a stunning dark beige colour. It is a mens size M which means i can have a layer underneath it without feeling constricted. My favourite way of styling it is with my burnt orange silk blouse, i love the collar peaking out of the sweater
I can’t rave enough about Tricot Paris. I have a ribbed wool hoodie from them that I’ve worn 104 times and it still looks pristine! I also have a crew neck cashmere sweater from them that is now at 19 wears and I am so so happy with it. They use a mix of recycled and new cashmere and I have my eye on a v neck if/when they expand the v neck colors. They also have turtlenecks, you may like them!
Both of mine are from Uniqlo! One is a beige one that I got on Vinted, and one is a black one that I bought very recently. I see what you mean about changes between the products. I think they just changed the cashmere, based on comparing mine, and the cut slightly. The new ones are “3D knit.” So your experiences with them can definitely depend on when exactly you bought it. I like the Uniqlo merino wool ones if I want something a little lighter that I can put in the washing machine. I also ordered one of these recently and they sent me an extra one by mistake for free 🥳
My first ever cashmere sweater, bought in Scotland (UK) 20 years ago for £55 (a lot of money then!) but cost per wear must be down to a few pence now as I've worn it an estimated 500 times! Beautiful rich claret coloured crew neck which suits my skin tone and has never dated! Still looks like new too 💖
@@rahniamersereau I also loooove my Tricot crewneck!!! The quality is just so good and thanks to the recycled cashmere mix it has almost no pilling. I'm definitely getting another one from Tricot when I'll have to substitute my two thrifted sweaters that have already been repaired several times 🙃
I can confirm that C&A cashmere pieces have very little pilling. I have several pieces from them for many years already and they still look great. I wash them in the wool programme of my washing machine, tumble them softly and dry them on a drying rack, where they don’t even lie completely flat.
I used to try to do that, but I never found any that were in truly good condition. Most cashmere that ends up in thrift shops are stained or shrunken. There's one good second-hand shop in my town, but the stock is extremely limited because it's a small town and they only accept the best.

So happy, that you did a video like this because, since working at canadas biggest trhift store, I got really into all these nice fabrics like cashmere and silk and merino. I like to find those kind of stuff second hand here in Switzerland but I also bought a few cashmere pieces new, so its nice to see whats on the market. I definitily have to check out the lily silk one
I can't wear any wool or cashmere, very bad allergy, within 15 minutes of wear it's driving me nuts. I like the look of them very much though, i watch, admire and end up buying a similar looking cotton one. Great video as always Naja, i get excited every time I see your new video pop up 🌹
Have you tried wearing a base layer underneath? If it's scratchy wool, I use a cotton turtleneck underneath. If it's not scratchy, like super soft cashmere, a long-sleeved t-shirt works well.
I absolutely love cashmere sweaters, and I have a lovely collection of them. My most favorite one from my collection is a creme turtle neck that is from Lord and Taylor...I've had it for many years, and it still looks as beautiful today as the day I bought it. I love your baby blue sweater by the way! 😊
Thank you so much for this, this was very helpful. I’m very slowly upgrading my wardrobe and knew nothing about cashmere and how to care for it. I appreciate it :) My favorite sweater is surprisingly from Shein out of all places from their premium motf line. It’s a wool mix sweater, neutral colored so it goes with everything.
Thank you for the recommendations, Naja! I love how the pink and baby blue truly highlight your completion! I haven't yet purchased any cashmere but was thinking of you recently when I wore my (somewhat new) wool sweater on a day that turned out warmer than expected...even though I was roasting, I was blown away by how *evenly* warm I was instead of just under my arms, ha! I was very grateful! Your channel has transformed the way I curate my wardrobe. I am very excited to invest in a couple more long-lasting, breathable sweaters -- thank you, dear! 😘
Great video! My favorite brand for cashmere is Falconeri (good selection of colors and thickness options). I also have some Boden cardigans for more than 10 years that I love.
Hi Naja, I like wearing some of my cashmere and wool sweaters with a cotton or silk thin long sleeves white tee--shirt. It just adds some comfort and a little color on top.
Hi Naja! Would love to see a future video on cashmere care, ie washing, drying, depilling, and storage during off season! Do you ever steam in between wearings? Thank you for your informative content ☺️
I only have one cashmere sweater, I think my internal thermostat runs high so I'm always too warm in any wool - but the one I do have, I love it so much, I got it at a thrift shop, it's from J Crew, it's a thick gauge with horizontal ribbing, navy blue with wide ivory stripes down the arms. Because I run hot I only wear it a few times each winter, so it's in excellent condition still. :) But mostly during the winter I wear layers -- tank top under a long sleeve t-shirt under a cardigan under a trench or peacoat - so I can peel off layers as needed!!
You're looking great, Naja! The Hot pink really suits you so nice! Honestly, I've always bought my cashmere pieces on sale, but I wish I had discovered it before because I used to wear chunky acrilic and poly sweaters that never were enough. My most worn are two turtlenecks by Benetton in baby blue and soft pink, it's really a blend cashmere/ wool but maybe I will be upgrading these ones because I really got a great CPW 👏👏👏on the crew neck team I have two in the same colours, blue and pink (but in a not so baby tone) by french brand Caroll. These are 100% cashmere and I'm very happy with them. Last but not least, my 100% merino wool turtlenecks by Benetton in solid colours were a great addition, too and the quality/price is very good. Glad to watch a New video from you and to discover these options! 😊
Most of my cashmere is from Boden, usually bought with a discount, they wash and wear really well. I also have cashmere from a Danish brand called Club Collection - they quite often have a discount if you buy two sweaters, and again they wash and wear well - they're cashmere is premium quality and also has an ecocert certification. My most "expensive" piece is from People's Republic of Cashmere (€360 reduced to €100), it's a thicker gauge than my other cashmere, and is beautifully soft - as yet I haven't washed it. My latest knit is from M&S, and has no pilling whatsoever despite two full days of wear - it's beautifully soft (approx €116). I machine wash on a cold handwash setting, using a suitable detergent, and have no issues with that. I only wash when necessary, so once or twice a year. As for pilling, in my experience, it's unavoidable because of the softness of the cashmere. I remove it with a cashmere comb, never a shaver (don't want to get holes in my precious knitwear!).
I love my HM premium fine knit cashmeres! They have an awesome color range and quality. I am tempted by a thicker one in dark grey! Also have an unreal camel from Violetta by Mango. I never ever found such neutral camel as this one, honestly what a find and it was on sale for €70!
My favorite cashmeres are from The Curated and Tricot Paris. Especially the Tricot sweaters are amazing quality pieces with a large portion of recycled cashmere that reduces pilling 🙂
@@NajaSierra I got mine from their first cashmere collection and wore it nonstop especially during the first winter. It's holding up really great and it's super warm and soft. Btw, did you end up getting the stone blazer or no?
COS are slaying the cashmere sweater game this season. They already had a couple good ones last year, but this autumn they are offering a wider range of shades. I do want one, but i also heard these are extremely popular and are flying off the shelves so i predict everyone will be wearing them and i don't know how i feel about that 😄 but i might be tempted by the cardigan though - my old one is on its last legs (or fibers 🤣😅) and i am looking for a replacement
The navy one looks lovely on you. I only have one cashmere cardigan, handed down from a friend. I didn't know they're self cleaning - interesting! I noticed I didn't have to wash it so far.
