I love how the all the characters look like their in-game models. The animation studio could have clearly given them more polygons and texture but they wanted to feel like this really was inside a Dreamcast.

@@Pally356 thank you for explaining that to me, I just couldn’t figure out what B.D. Joe was saying, even when I tried using slow playback speed to try to pay closer attention to what B.D. Joe was replying to that boxing gloves lady at the end of the commercial, all the game characters as taxi customers were such a loud crowd noise that it was still hard for me to make out what B.D. Joe was trying to say at the end of that Crazy Taxi commercial anyway.

The entire Sega ad campaign was absolutely genius. Literally peak level marketing for game systems. No wonder the launch became the most successful console launch in history.

Yeah, that was the gamble Sega took: they launched their new console early in hopes of recovering sales. Only problem is: the PS2 happened (the irony is that it was basically the equivalent of the Sega Saturn in that generation, yet it outsold the Saturn by a lot despite having a lot of the same issues; it’s crazy). Hopefully Sega returns to making consoles, especially seeing as though Xbox might be going belly up so Sega could fill in that gap, but I doubt it
