Hey thanks for making a review! Did you guys have problems getting the settings just right? I'm not getting the sensor to trip the camera quick enough to catch the animals that are walking directly towards the camera. I noticed that it catches them going one direction but not the other sometimes. I can physically watch the deer and coyotes cross the cam and not get picked up.
Love your video! My question is I have tactacam cameras and my only problem with them is battery life. Also the energizer lithium batteries are to high and costly so how often with day and night use dose batteries have to be change when using sk reveal camera?
All of ours have solar panels that for the most part, keep them charged. If you face the solar panel towards the sun, they usually stay charged pretty well.
Great informative video...much appreciated. In Illinois where I bow hunt, the the provider is AT&T but my phone is Version. Though the camera will work with the provided AT&T card it probably wont be able to send pictures to my phone. Your thoughts and or experience with such an issue. Ken.
@@westtexashuntingguys thank you for your quick answer. I'm very new at this, being how I wasn't born with a cell phone in my hand, its ifficult to grasp the concept. lol. So basically the "App" is what communicates with the camera? So if I'm understanding, I can leave the trail camera hooked up in southern Illinois (AT&T country) and travel back to upper NY (version country) and should receive pics? Ken
@@kenfrank3969 exactly! Make sure you have the solar panel facing the direction that it will get the most sun though to keep it charged! It is detachable and can be angled in different directions.
I have 3 of the Reveal X cameras and they get 1 bar of signal and transmit pictures where I cannot even get cell signal for my phone. Pretty amazing cameras. They also have a bluetooth/wifi set up that allows you to see what the camera sees in order to make sure it is pointing in the best direction to capture your images and area you want. It also has a neat feature where it can send a picture each day almost like a test picture to make sure it is working in case you are not having many animals tripping the camera. Customer service takes weeks to normally get a response but I think that is because they have sold so many that they are behind in responses but there is normally enough information out there on the internet posted by other users. They need a cheaper picture package because as you add cameras there is a slight decrease in cost otherwise it can get expensive for monthly charges.
It does require a U3 memory card (and the namebrand ones work better for some reason). You might just go on their website and look at which ones they recommend and go with one of those. The cable is used to do the initial charge on the camera, but it comes with one.
So the camera does not come with an SDHC card? Will the 16GB Class 10 SDHC cards supplied with Spypoint cams work? I've got several of those...@@westtexashuntingguys
Awesome review and great product, wish we could have it in New Zealand, thanks, thumbs up and regards,, Tony.
Thanks for watching!
Good video guys. I have the Tactacam Reveal X but it looks like it’s time to upgrade to the SK.
We’ve LOVED it!!!

That’s really interesting! We haven’t had that issue yet

I've got the same camera. Only issue I've run into is the video setting. It'll take pictures but no video. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Truthfully, we haven’t done much with the video. We might have to check that out and list a follow up.
Can the solar panel be rotated to point towards the direction of the sun's passing? (south for me in the USA...) Does it do ok if not pointed south?
Yes! The solar panel can rotate around to point in different directions to fit your setup.

It won’t be an issue having a AT&T camera send to a Verizon phone. It is just an app that you download on your phone.

Nice review! Keep em coming
You know we will!
What cable are you using to extend the antenna up the tree and where can I get one?
We use the SPYPOINT cell booster. It comes with a long cable and was compatible with the tactacam port.
Does it transmit sound in the video to your phone?

Totally agree! Thank you so much for the info!
Can u do a video on all the option and how they work on the app?
We can try to do a follow video in the future!
You never showed what the photos or video looks like...Thanks for talking about it though. Be safe
Does it charge the batteries
Will it take video?
It does
One last question, A 32GB Class 10 SDHC Flash Memory SD Card and a USB C Cable is additionally needed for complete operation, correct?

They are the best!!!!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Great review!!!
Definitely needs the good sd cards nothing else works.
Yep!
I didn't realize how big the thing is.
It’s definitely bigger than the SPYPOINT
My reveal x pro is very disorder
Doesn't charge the battery
Ours has charged really well. There was one exception with one that we forgot to turn towards the sun. That one didn’t charge as well.
@@westtexashuntingguys what battery setting did you select? I have mine set on lithium & and even facing the the sun it dies in about 30 days.
