I threw the derbi back together after painting everything and WOW this bike looks like a whole new bike. I am blown away how much better it looks with the new look & naked bars set up. Going to be doing a lot more soon, throwing on a new exhaust pipe and doing some tuning,

I had this same problem when painting plastic. It's very annoying. I now use Krylon Fusion for plastic parts, since it sticks to the surface better than regular Krylon. This prevents bubbling between coats, and chipping later on when the plastic flexes in normal use.

Painting with brushes it’s called “keeping a wet edge” I believe the same concept applied with spray. I know what your saying. When you figure it out it’s like a god send. Good shit trev.
Try some adhesion promoter before you paint the next time. I might be picking one of these up later. Yours is the only one I can find on TH-cam.

Uh, I would keep it original If I were you (if that scoot really is rare, could be more valuable in far future), but that's your ride, do as you wish
i intended keeping original to anything thats worth saving. if you watch the build on this, theres way too much missing / broken / ruined to be worth saving.
