Thanks for the video - I too am in love and fascinated by this building. I'm glad they kept the fascade. I believe they didn't keep anything else because it was all asbestos ridden and would have been too costly. A friends mom worked there in the 60s'-70s and she got some stories.
What an insanely fascinating story (pun intended). I lived near Danvers for 20 years and didn’t know this. Great video and awesome music - thank you for sharing! Looking forward to more videos!
nice - I was gonna suggest mett state as well. Pretty similar fate to Danvers. they got the appts from Avalon too. The only remaining building is the administration one and the only reasons its still there is its located in a different town (belmont?) and they didn't want to take it down prolly cause $$.
Everytime I see this place I think of Session 9. Cool video👍
Thanks. I’ll be visiting medfield state hospital soon too. Home of Shutter Island film.

Yeah way too much health harming stuff. But it's such a gorgeous building for sure. I'm sure she has AMAZING stories about that place.

I've been in there a few times and I can remember seeing shadows walking up and down the halls

thank you for sharing the video. do they offer tours for this hospital?
Unfortunately no tours I know of. But you can go and walk around the building itself.
I've been writing music about this place, and I plan on flying a moonlight system and document everything!
