Silk got a lot of flack but he wasn't a bad rapper, he had punchlines in every verse, good storylines in his songs and the words he used to rhyme always landed on beat regardless of his unorthodox internal rhyme scheme, and most of all he was DIFFERENT than anyone else, any true true hip hop head knew this back then and now.

+Marques Williams You can't really make that comparison. I'm not disagreeing with you but I am a fan of Travis Scott but I don't want what I say to seem like I have a bias for Travis. Because in all actuality I like Silkk too, I been a fan of No Limit yeeeeears before anybody even heard of Travis Scott. I might even go as far as to say just based on the pure skill of rapping alone, Silkk is more talented than Travis, AND it's is likely that Travis might not ever go double platinum, but with all that being said it's not fair to make that comparison. When No Limit was big it was way easier for artists to go platinum. Today, you can have just as many people fucking with your music as somebody back then did. But with that same number of fans you'll go somewhere between like 50-200k (depending exactly on how popular they are). There's people right now who are bigger than Silkk ever was, who still haven't gone double platinum. In the last few years there's only a handful of people to actually go platinum or better. So you can't really say he won't go double platinum like that means people don't fuck with him, many people do. It's just a very hard feat for today's standards.

She was just known as the "girl that ia with destinys child".
Durin' the mid late 1990s, the R&B Female Solo Artist Roster was stacked, stacked.
Mariah Carry, Aaliyah , Janet Jackson, Tamia, Christiana Agularia, Brittany Spears, Brandy, Monica, Whitney Houston, Tracie Spencer, Lauren Hill, Erykuh Badu etc. The list just keeps goin' on, n on.

Believe me when you talk about being REAL then you need to take a look at TRU and the no limit click back then, all this fake beef and talking they do these days they wasn't having that. People would get killed back then and that's why nobody ever spoke about a beef because you already knew what you would do about it. I look forward to the new music he puts out, hopefully he keeps it original and doesn't try to sound like some of these new cats out here today.
