Hi Brandon, I bought an 80lb Bowteck Tribute back in 2004, as you no they have a life time warranty on there limbs, my cracked last year 2021 and Bowteck stood by there warranty and both of my limbs were replaced for free. As l believe through my bow dealer here in Australia the limbs were built new for my bow, so you can't complain about thier warranty. I own a 360 destroyer as well but as far as l am concerned the Tribute still beats the Destroyer hands down.. Love your video cheers Milton..
Awesome to see you back, you always have a "different take" and I appreciate it's up front about being personal feel vs "These are the specs." I was a Bowtech guy, my favorite/best shooting bow was my SR6, and I loved my Fanatic 3.0. Neither ever gave me a problem. Then I bought the new Solution with the idea it would be my primary heading to Wyoming last fall and the SR6 would be a backup. 2 weeks into it (setup/tuning), I had a lower limb crack. Bowtech had new limbs delivered in 2 weeks so I can't fault their customer service. However, when everybody starts bringing up the "blowtech" and I do personally know shooters, especially 3D shooters who've had issues, I shot and bought a 31" V3. Tuned in about 2 shots. So for a consistent feel, I went to the Empire. TRX 40 for 3D and a V3X 33 on order as an overall backup. With plates the grips remind me of Bowtech (I'm sure you know). My V3 31 is actually a few fps faster than my SR6 was too, which was a surprise. Rambling,,,,,,,Glad to see you back.
Bowtech surprised me with how good their warranty/service department was on my 2014 carbon knight a few years ago. Ends of my limbs were chipping and they replaced them in a week. This was in the middle of the MN whitetail season. They've earned another sale on that experience alone. I'm a tree stand guy. The Solution SS still seems to be the bow I'd prefer from them this next season at 30in ata.
Hey great stuff by the way. Your so called ramblings are actually interesting and helpful because there are things you talk about that happen to me as well, it's good to know that I'm not the only one who feels similar.
Glad to hear positive remarks on this bow. I’m the guy who bought the revolt 2 years ago before seeing your review. I’ve had a great experience with that bow and never understood your remarks. Not bashing you. Plus the revolt got really good reviews from most others even won some awards. So to repeat glad to hear you were impressed with the newest revolt. I enjoy your vids thanks
Bowtech is a great company to work with. They have warranties like most I believe, but they even go above and beyond that. I have worked with them 3x and despite having issues in the first place, they have been nothing short of great to work with. They covered all replacements and labor for each problem, even when it was my fault. The shop owner I bought my bow from isn’t a Bowtech guy, but he has nothing but good things to say about their service and says they have one of the best warranty coverages out there. He said a customer brought his bow into the shop in pieces, Bowtech still replaced and covered everything. I own and love my Revolt X, ironically your Revolt X video is how I discovered your channel, still bought mine anyways and followed your channel ever since. Keep it up, you are genuinely my favorite archery channel.
Great video Brandon. I shoot whatever manufacturer feels best for the year I’m buying a bow. That said, I’ve had great results with Bowtech. I’ve owned the Reign, Realm, and Revolt X. All great shooting and easy to tune bows.
Perhaps just the magic touch of MFJJ is all u needed to get over your Bowtech past. I love the cutouts in their riser & the look overall. Hope those cams r beefed up on the new XL models. After shooting a Nexus 4 over the past 10 months I don't know how my subconscious could handle that bow. The fact that u can enjoy shooting it w/o a stabilizer tells me that u hit the archery reset button in your brain & everything is ZEN.
Brandon Great to se you posting videos again. I enjoy your “rambling” and the way you set the scene. Specially your open and personal comments whilst enjoying good things in live.
Your previous RevoltX video turned me off the bow for a while. Didn’t want to risk buying one sight unseen since I couldn’t try one locally. Eventually read more about it and bought one used. Absolutely love the bow. Glad this RXL is treating you well. Thanks for the video
I have a similar experience with my revolt. The one I shot at the shop was an amazing bow. However I had to order one in the color I wanted when i decided on the revolt.....the bow I received has jumped around on me and is constantly needing to be re tuned. I even had it re strung with custom strings and a full shop tune. I think I, like you, must have got a lemon. Just to note I'm not a novice to the world of archery or hunting. I have been shooting bows since I can remember.
Have you shot it on 80 lbs? If so what does the draw cycle feel like? IBO says 350 FPS prolly not at 30” more like 33”. However-no bow out there is easier to tune at this time! You can literally micro measure different set ups that you’ve chosen and just go back and forth. Don’t even have to change your rest if you have a micro tunable rest like a Hamskea Trinity. I’m still shooting my Reckoning 35 and loving it! It’s a tack driver, it’s fast (comfort mode), it’s a tack driver and extremely comfortable to shoot. Matter of fact it’s got a Hoyt and two PSEs hanging high and collecting dust!
Stoked to see you producing videos again best bow reviews on TH-cam! MFJJ is an awesome dude full of knowledge! Thanks for sharing your journey through archery!
Great video, I was really hoping they would do something like this. My only issue is it started at my draw length. I ended up going with the sr350 and absolutely love it!
Is that not the Frankenstein bow that MFJJ built? Revolt X riser and limbs with the Solution SS cams. Can't just go out and buy this thing unfortunately, it's the exact same one I was hoping to build before finding either of your channels.
I haven't stepped away from my RPM360 because of the draw cycles curve. (My bow @ 72# feels like 60# / as where the V3X feels like it's 10# heavier )... The dead lock system seems nice feature to have for sure...... After everyone saying their newer bows had limb failure since the BTX - I haven't been comfortable enough to step away from a Bow that works......
Still can’t find anything that beats the feel of my Realm X and it balances so much better than anything I’ve picked up in the last 3 years.. even with all the bows at his disposal, MFJJ knows what’s up!
Brandon, if u haven't watched it yet MFJJ has a great short video not on axle to axle or brace height. It's about riser length & how short the reflex is for accuracy & forgiveness.
Good to hear you like it. Love non biased reviews . You and mfjj are probably the only 2 dudes who I feel will at least admit you are or are not impressed with something …. I’d love to name drop some other big reviewers who aren’t like that but I’m not .
It's a great bow and I don't think Bowtech get the respect it deserves. They don't have Mathews marking but the cam system is by far the best. I have spent days and hours with tuning other brands. SR350 took 4 shots through paper.
If I was setting that bow up for you I would shorten the draw length 1/2”-1”, the slow motion footage is showing the nock way past your eye. You said your other Revolt kicked out to the left, draw length to long may explain that, just trying to help
Thanks for the review! I know you can't get every bow in to test, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on the Athens Archery Vista 33 if one is ever available for you to borrow
I noticed last year and this year as well, is there a major reason I am unaware of that no shops or reviewers carry, sell, or shoot Bear Archery bows anymore?
I think there was definitely something off with your revolt x. When I went to buy a new bow this year I reluctantly shot the revolt x (because I had seen your video). I liked it more than any of the 21,22 models. Just so smooth and stable, really enjoying it.
I have a SR350- everyone is bagging on the speeds. Fair enough but they shouldn't avoid it-worthy of a tryout. My SR350 is set at 28" draw/65lbs and is a joy to shoot, holds extremely well and no shock after the release. I already know I will never see the advertised speeds- it is simply a joy to shoot. I should mention this bow was not on my list- shot it against both Mathews and the Ventum 33. After shooting them all, it was obvious to me.
MFJJ did the speed test on the Sr350. Best he got was 336 I believe. Still fast but not quite as advertised. I didn’t get an opportunity to shoot a bowtech this year.
Hey no worries. I watched ur video of the revolt x. Still ended up buying a used one without ever shooting one. Then I had to decide. Am I just really bad at bows or does Brandon not know what he’s talking about cuz this is the best bow I’ve ever shot?? Just kidding. Thanks for the reviews. I think u musta had a lemmon
2022 these space junkers should be getting more simple every year... Lite weight.. Simple... Easy tune.. Stay in tune... Bows have become more of a nightmare instead of just the nice enjoyment relaxation hobby toy they should have become
The flyers that dealers got said that the 350fps was gotten at 33”. Remember that IBO only specifies 5 grains per pound of draw weight. No draw length restrictions.
@@toddlymburner5783 - actually they aren’t. The SR350 with proper mods is only about 8 fps slow, which is the same as the majority of other brands’ bows. The CP28 sits about the same.
@@kveritas1 that’s funny because it’s not even close on any other review. I can point to 10 other reviews where it was slow through the chronograph and on the reviews with the “different mod” it’s still 18 FPS slow even in performance and the draw is horrible with a hump at the end. And in comfort it’s a better draw but 25 FPS slow. I shot them at 2 different shops and they were slow.
