    Great job Shaun i love it. I’m building a thin line tele right now and its a lot of joy. You probably are similar to me in what you have as guitars. I have many and i have found that having one isn’t where any guitar player will stay. Building the thin line has always been a dream until now. I did find a guy in Florida that does some very very good work as far as making guitar bodies. He’s craftsmanship to me is next to none. He also does the strat thin;nie bodies as well. I’m going real slow on the body. And I’ve got the neck being made by a well known luthier that lives real close to me and just happens to be a very good friend. Anyway i love the build you did keep on playing. We are all never to old to learn. Thanks for posting.

      Thanks brother! I have a few guitars for sure. Over the past decade since beginning to learn to play, I've owned probably over 80 guitars. I've really trimmed down as of late and keep about 15 or 16 at one time. If I see something odd that I've never played, I buy it, play it, and if it's not something I'll play regularly, I sell or trade it away. It's a vicious cycle. Lol. Keep me up to date on your build. Would love to see it.

    What a great build! That’s a ripper mate!! Maybe you can show us the cavities under the pickguard please.

      It's just your regular SSS cavities

    Thank you for sharing! I am going to have Warmoth make me a very similar guitar, I am thinking quarter sawn maple for the neck (Not to confident if i'd like the soft v-shape on the EJ strat). That's almost exactly the sound i'm looking for!

      Thank you. The soft V is something to get used to. You either like it or hate it after a while. I've got a AVRI 57' reissue which has the soft V and I like it but definitely had to get used to playing it.

    Nice! First time seeing a side -adjust truss rod neck, I'd never even heard of it. Why did you choose that?

    • @LateBoomerGR
      @LateBoomerGR  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It actually has two adjustmentable areas. One at the heel and one on the side. The side adjustment is for slight adjustments. It's a Warmoth option and I liked it so I went with it

    whoa this is awesome. my dream guitar in a lot of ways. I love the EJ thinline but there are a couple of things i'd change. Can you tell us how you had the tuners set up so no string trees are required?

    • @LateBoomerGR
      @LateBoomerGR  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! They're staggered locking tuners so no trees required since those low staggered posts cause a deeper break angle past the nut

      @@LateBoomerGR i figured that was the case. is the headstock also tilted back or is it standard?

      @@rashadsultan it's a standard strat neck
