I have had a sharky 3 1k series for 3 years now, I only fish saltwater, I abuse it badly as I fish almost everyday from a kayak, and I rinse it maybe every 3 days. It's corroded quite a bit on the reel seat area, but still smooth as butter and operates like brand new
Hello. Nice review. Im considering of buying this one, i saw a lot of good reviews for this reel and now im very interested. One thing also, you mention about cleaning after using it especially at the saltwater. What I can advice is, after washing it with top water, better soak it for a minute in a distilled water to make it sure that the chlorine is washed off.
I have had the older black and gold Sharky with a aluminum frame for 5 years. It's a 1000 size with 33 lbs of drag. It's a little beast and still like new.
I bought a KastKing Royale 2000 last year when I got back into fishing. This year, I threw it on a 5’6” Gx2 for my 8 year old. It’s not a bad reel at all.

@@BobetsLaksoy I take a freshwater hose and wash it down really good, then set it somewhere to dry. That’s all I do and my reels still work great
