Vin Diesel is a nerd. I wouldn't be surprised if he has played Ark. The rest, I have no idea.

Turns out Vin Diesel is a big fan. He's also coming on as an executive producer.
This might actually be brilliant. The stars all kind of lined up on this. Its a game for all ages. I'm 35 and play it with my 9 year old daughter. Covid has limited big budget movie production. I imagine ark 2 will come out around the same time as the show then the animated series can push out a line of toys.
Hell yeah, so stoked David Tennant is Rockwell and the fact that Alan Tudyk is in it as well, who'll always be Wash to me is just awesome.

Here's how I imagine the lineup. The Romans ally themselves. The Native Americans run the peaceful community where they ally themselves with the Walkers. Santiago is a rogue who eventually forms a family and gets insane stat boosts because he's got family.
Nothings more important than family,

I can't wait for this, like a dog being told it's time to go to the park :D Also, the mix of characters that will play the series is an amazing mix. This is the reason I never rant on ARK whatever happens. I love the Lore and the stories on every Ark. I hope for a 4-5 season of minimum 10 episodes.

I hope this show goes through all the canon maps that lead to extinction, just so we get to see all of the characters like Diane element rockwell and the battle with the king titan
I think that’s what they would do, IF the show gets enough views to incentivize continuing production.

There are so many characters that have never been in the explorer notes, kinda sad honestly, the way they did the notes were perfect, an actual special way to describe a journey, i hope it'll stay like that

I’m a little disappointed Helena has a wife (and definitely not in a homophobic way, it would be the same if she had a husband) I would of had prefer her to be single or more independent if you know what I mean

Sorry if I don't know that many characters in ark but are all of these characters in the story of the game, I know some are but I'm not sure about the others
They’re all in the explorer notes but not all appear in the game itself
Helena and Rockwell are the main ones tho

Most of them don’t appear in the game and are exclusively in the show. Only Helena Walker, Mei Yin Li, Edmund Rockwell, Gaius Nerva, and Santiago are mentioned in the game. The rest are all new

As to Nerva, he's a Roman. That culture did not have the same concepts of gender sexuality as we do today. It was more based around penetrator/penetratee than male/female, and there were additional class-based assumptions around that too.
That is likely too in depth for Ark lol, but don't assume your cultural context holds true across all cultures, especially with different time periods involved.

I don't imagine it will be the primary focus of the series, it's character backstory and will probably come up in flashbacks and as someone Helena misses. Would be the same if it was a husband she had, not a wife.

@@Fin5434p personally for me at least, it’s not that she’s gay, it’s that the Explorer Notes depicted her as independent and not having any relationship, and I feel like she would have written about that if she did have one
