I take it as there us a natural maybe barbaric, or sadistic nature to the symbiote. Once it latches to a host, it can personify itself and amplify the aggressive nature of the host. But with Eddie case, he is still good so venom is kept in some check but Eddie is also aware of venom and let's him "eat" some bad guys. Cletus had no real moral code except for Francis which I don't even know was in the comics. Cletus was already a unhinged and a murderer. So him and carnage fit nicely. I honestly believe the movie needed Francis because we needed to believe that the symbiotic relationship between cletus and carnage needed to have a rift. That their relationship was not same to Eddie and venom. I think cletus went out like a man stating he will always be a killer, but his symbiotic relationship ended with carnage as more of a lackey to carnage. The relationship duality reminds me of an abusive one. At first high thrills and this assumption of partnership. But then carnage says things like "if she does that again I will eat her head off". And cletus takes that with a grain of salt. However carnage was not kidding and cletus is not as much an equal partner as he thinks he is.
In the comics ,back in the day Eddie was actually the more savage minded compared to Venom symbiote , , most of time the Symbiote was voice of reason within premade agreed guidelines , , , and Video is a strong 9 , 👍👽
Carnage: Has Eddie pinned and in a position he could easily kill him. Also Carnage: Takes his only hostage to roof at a snail's pace and doesn't put have any precautions to check if Eddie will get back up so he ends up getting sneak attacked. ...man...
@goblingoatnot420 But Carnage is literally a violent, gory villain. The definition of the very word Carnage is "the killing of a large number of people". Most mass killings aren't neat and clean. They're bloody and messy. So I definitely believe Carnage would've been more effective if the movie had been rated R (that being said, Woody Harrelson did a fantastic job portraying both him and his host). With the Joker, he's always been a wild card (no pun intended). Depending on the story, he can be a violent murderer, a twisted but goofy criminal comedian (looking at you, 60s Batman), whatever the writers need, he becomes. In Heath Ledger's case, his Joker was meant to be a commentary on the darker aspects of society and humanity in general. Gore wasn't needed for that role. TL;DR Gore isn't a necessary for all villains, but it is for Carnage.
Yo I literally laughed out loud when they we’re lik “together we are the lethal protector “ good writer’s for this movie and wonderful delivery on the cast’s part jaded stoic comedy at its core
They really strayed from the source material here. Carnage was so compatible with Cletus in the comics & shows that he calls himself I instead of we. Also, why kill him off in the first movie? I would've loved to see Maximum Carnage on the big screen.
Either way we got the post credit scene in NWH revealing the symbiotes existence in the MCU, meaning that Carnage has the chance to come back. Hopefully; with much better writing. Also just my own personal opinions as to who I think should play Venom and Carnage in the MCU. Adam Driver (Eddie Brock) Tony Todd (Venom's voice) Cameron Monaghan (Cletus Kassidy) Mark Hamill (Carnage's voice)
Because Sony has a way of completely mishandling super hero properties and have arsed up nearly every time. Which is a true shame as a Film with Venom and carnage should have been an R rated smack down.
@@gandit Part of the reason why people like Carnage was that he was a strong and good villain for Spider-Man to fight against. Something of a challenge for Peter. While Venom is good and has always been, Carnage just took it one step further. I think that's why.
Surprisingly this is only the first time Anne Weying has been kiddnapped or put in danger in these movies, in the comics Anne Weying was put in danger every issue she appeared in.
Wasn't the best of movies. But the movie was entertaining enough to have me realize that the movie ended too soon. I'm excited for any other movie of Venom and Eddie. Or rather, the lethal protector. And probably Toxin, who we were a little teased on at the end. I'm still wondering how he survived. Did the screech lady just fail at killing? They didn't even show what happened, but she was apparently gonna kill him slowly. Instead, he was off-screened mysteriously.
I like how venom really keeps his character throughout the movie instead of losing it. Like how he immediately eats Cletus because of all that had happened and still wanted to eat everyone. This movie and other one are great.
Spider-Man attempt to pull Carnage down as he takes Anne hostage up towards the church as Carnage noticed. Carnage: Oh back for more are ya? Well sorry to disappoint but you’ll have to wait your turn.” Carnage webs Spidey towards the wall.

@@Bignfluffy So you know what the creators intentions were with that line? Because I don’t think you do. Also it’s 3 ellipsis points for a pause not two.
When Eddie says "I'm sorry, Cletus" before dispatching him, I don't think he was apologizing for not being a friend to Cletus. He was apologizing because he knew, whether intuitively or by sensing it, what Venom intended to do next. And this time, he had no intention of stopping it.
Venom is honestly the funniest yet horrifying thing in marvel lol

Also Carnage: Takes his only hostage to roof at a snail's pace and doesn't put have any precautions to check if Eddie will get back up so he ends up getting sneak attacked.
...man...
Yo when eddie brock say i want you to kill peter parker then he destroy the church lol
Anyone else notice the screech from carnage sounds almost exactly like venom from Spider-Man 3 @4:14
"He did not taste good" lol perfectly executed on both accounts of Alien murder and One liners.
That poor church and clock tower. It's been under construction since the first Venom incident in '04!
When every Marvel movies ends with the hero going for the head…
Imagine Venom against Thanos,
Thanos said: You should have gone for the head
Venom: Okay *eats his head*
That would have been awesome
Venom didn’t even care haha 😂 he said Fvuk this guy and eat that head he a menace
😂😂😂😂😂
The way he threw his body at the ground like a trash bag too lmao
4:57 Dang, Venom ate his own son. 💀
For someone who is all about Carnage he's awfully gentle
Because the film is rated PG-13.
@@ariadnefrolich7243 a crime was committed, and you're so casual about it
@@ariadnefrolich7243the Dark Knight was rated PG 13 and the joker was portrayed perfect on the film even without gore.

Best line from venom: “Fuck this guy!” 😂
They really strayed from the source material here. Carnage was so compatible with Cletus in the comics & shows that he calls himself I instead of we. Also, why kill him off in the first movie? I would've loved to see Maximum Carnage on the big screen.
Venom eats carnage in the comics and carnage still comes back
@Cthulhu Crews no the symbiote has always been called venom. Even when bonded to Flash Thompson he was called Venom
@Cthulhu Crews apparently you haven't read the more recent ones, for example the one where enom seperates from eddie.catch up on your reading
Either way we got the post credit scene in NWH revealing the symbiotes existence in the MCU, meaning that Carnage has the chance to come back. Hopefully; with much better writing.
Also just my own personal opinions as to who I think should play Venom and Carnage in the MCU.
Adam Driver (Eddie Brock) Tony Todd (Venom's voice)
Cameron Monaghan (Cletus Kassidy) Mark Hamill (Carnage's voice)
Because Sony has a way of completely mishandling super hero properties and have arsed up nearly every time. Which is a true shame as a Film with Venom and carnage should have been an R rated smack down.
The “let there be carnage” hit different in the cinema CL
2:53 the amazing spider man 2 😢😢😢

You really gotta feel bad for Cletus at the end though when he said he just wanted a friend
Same.
Can't wait for Venom 3
Nah.
Somebody's a serial killer. . .doesn't just make them unlikeable, it also makes them unworthy of having friends.
@@BOBMAN1980 people like Carnage as a character and Cletus does have friends according to comics
@@gandit Part of the reason why people like Carnage was that he was a strong and good villain for Spider-Man to fight against. Something of a challenge for Peter. While Venom is good and has always been, Carnage just took it one step further. I think that's why.

5:06 Venom: he did not taste good
Wasn't the best of movies.
Venom's child was being disrespectful and had had to suffer the consequences of their bad behavior.☺

I like how venom really keeps his character throughout the movie instead of losing it. Like how he immediately eats Cletus because of all that had happened and still wanted to eat everyone. This movie and other one are great.

The “lethal protector” line was kinda nasty😭
Yea it was supposed to be..
That "I'm sorry" was "If I could, I would make sure you had a dignified end, but you know how it is with these Symbiotes."
