    Don't get me wrong, I love mine, but there is a reason all the videos show installation of the REAR tire. Pro tip, send away the women and children before you do the front.

      I’m in the middle of a massive tantrum trying to get the final bit of the front on. This is fucking impossible. Rear basically went on on its own.

    • @SkinnySkinch
      @SkinnySkinch 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The front is much easier than the rear. but both are actually super easy and MUCH easier than a tire install with an actual tube.

      Pro tip... Tubliss in the rear, Mousse up front. 😉

      @@Engrave.Danger Agree.
      If running TuBliss up front, don't be too aggressive about running low tire pressure or the rim will pay the price. In my experience, "tube pressure" is slightly stiffer than "TuBliss pressure" meaning 12 PSI in a tube is stiffer than 12 PSI in a TuBliss. I would be wary of running less than 12 PSI in a front TuBliss if one plans to ride fast and hit things hard.
      I slashed a rear tire open while riding fast in the desert with 8 PSI. A bit of common sense is needed, which I lacked that day 😆

      @@craighoffman6876 I ride Michigan single track, so there's no point in a front Tubliss. I could see using one up front for riding rock slabs with some gummy tires though.

    A Tubliss system came already installed on a 500 EXC I bought used. In the process of going between a 50/50 tire and knobbies I have yet to damage the system or cause it to refuse to seal so I'm pretty happy with it. YMMV.

  • @jamesfairmind2247

    On the Dirtbike channel Kyle uses Amour all instead of soapy water on the beads before fitting so he can use the sealant inside when fitted. He seams to have success with that. Also he inflates the high pressure bladder first to pop the beads up onto the rim properly. A step missed out on this video.

    Great video, thanks for sharing, quick question. Can you have normal tire pressure instead of low tire pressure?

  • @ThisTall

    I just filled the high pressure, then torqued the rim lock, then filled the main chamber to 18lb. And the high pressure tube burst. So the order must really matter

  • @abpob6052
    @abpob6052 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    FYI, you do not use nearly enough soapy water plus you need to coat all parts of the tubliss system with silicone spray. It needs to remain slippery to work properly.

    • @SkinnySkinch
      @SkinnySkinch 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@enduringpursuit same here except I always use a silicon spray. I haven’t had issues with the bead not sealing I was just kind of wondering if this was recommended or not. I coulda sworn in the old directions from tubliss it said to use silicon but maybe I was mistaken.

    • @StarbreakerGenX
      @StarbreakerGenX 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Can you also use silicone spray to help get the tire on or will that affect the "sealing" of the tire with the soap and water? I am new to Tubliss and have always used WD - 40 when putting on tires with tubes.

    My rim has holes, 2 but are directly opposite of each other. Is it okay to install them like that, just moving the inner tube to the other side or they have to be 4spokes apart??

    • @50wgpr1
      @50wgpr1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's fine to do that. Check out Dirt Bike Channel and he shows exactly that setup. It's just that KTM's have them 4 spokes apart.

      Tubliss instructions state damage may occur to the inner bladder of the install is not 4 spokes distance away.

      Not advised for heavy ADV bikes per multiple posts on forums. There are a couple alternate systems that reportedly work better for the big ones.

    Michelin mousses are better and work better. but i dont think they come under 11psi

    • @firedawg1998
      @firedawg1998 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ya, but u cw t ru any fast stuff or you will melt your mousse and your stuckwitsame pressure and also wear out quickly. Nice for no flats.

    • @bradsanders6954
      @bradsanders6954 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      How do you change psi in a Mousse? The Mousse is strictly off road or it melts.
      Mousse costs 100 bucks each and they wear out. If the Mousse doesnt fit the tire exactly it gets hotter.
      Saying they're better, means that what you use. As in all things.

    I change moto tires 5 days a week, and have been doing so for a few years. I die inside any time a customer buys one of these and asks for an install. Don’t even mess with this system. Get a tube or a mousse. Save the money and stay away from this product.

    • @paulgeorgelas383
      @paulgeorgelas383 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      No explanation why... I wouldn't listen to this comment. Most likely a grump that wasn't skilled enough to install the system.

    • @Goku_in_Real_Life
      @Goku_in_Real_Life 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@paulgeorgelas383 You have to modify your rim for this system to even be installed. You’re left with a big hole in your rim if you choose to go with a regular tube down the line. Rim locks usually use 12 or 13 mm nuts with little spring washers, the rim gets even more damaged from a nut and washer getting pulled unevenly into the hole. Excess dirt and water also enters that same hole, corrodes the inside of the rim and compromises the tube.
      If you stick with the tubliss, you always have a chance of a leak forming under the tape, which requires dismounting the tubliss system to fix. You run a huge risk of pinching the liner while doing so, which will leave you SOL on the trail- Unless you buy an extra liner, which is about the same price as a tube 🤣
      This product is an overpriced novelty solution to a problem that was solved decades ago. Bring an extra tube with you, or get a mousse ring. You can get 5 heavy duty tubes for the price of one of these systems.
