@@lukehobbs3177 hmmm... I'd say the Japanese stone grill steak houses. They serve you a rare steak on a stone grill and you grill it to your liking on the table. Also includes an all you can eat salad bar. Prices are a lot cheaper than regular steak houses.
As someone who grew up in Hong Kong, I drink that cup of water. It is clean. BTW, for the blue potato milk tea, it should be taro, they just don't have a proper translation lol.
Sham Sui Po is the place for cheap and good food. I personally San Lung's curry rice, Chow Kee's lard noodle, The Park by Years's vegaterian food and Tomato C Hing's tomato noodle soup.
Wow The food looks delicious. My relatives like to take me to (大快活)Fairwood for breakfast everyday when I was there and once for dinner. For dimsum, I went to eat after 2p or 3p don’t remember the exact, the prices are like half price at most of the tea houses. I only had afternoon dimsum once.
Thanks Luke for your excellent video of the budget HK eateries. If HK wasn't so far away, I would be there like a shot to visit your recommendations. Happy Chinese New Year!
Great pointers for food - an easy on the eyes and ears video...... a lot of the HK food vids are a bit hysterical and annoying to follow. This told me what I need to know without loud shit awful music blaring away.....subbed👍
Subscribed because this is a quick, informative video with no BS
Thanks for the support!
I live in Hong Kong and I haven't been to some of these places. Thanks for the suggestions!

I was told I could drink the water I was just very confused as to why it was boiling 😂. Did I miss any good places you know of?

Like a chicken tail bun?
I could never get a handle of it. Some places gave you near-boiling water to drink. Other places gave lukewarm tea to wash forks in
@@lukehobbs3177 You can disinfect to feel cleaner though the utensils should be clean already or drink. Either way is fine.
Will be going to all your recommendations. Thanks 👍👍👍👍👍
Glad to hear it!

how good is Kitchen One Roast goose compared to Ren ren heping or Yat Lok?
I haven’t tried those other two restaurant so I cannot say for sure. Kitchen One Roast goose is delicious and well located though.
@@lukehobbs3177 okay thank you
@@lukehobbs3177 oh just one question. Is the goose skin crispy?
Yes! and Delicious!
This restaurant is not the best value most local don't eat here only tourist because of Michelin star charge higher prices.
Fat is pronounced faht, rhymes with bot.
