Dear Pastor you are such a philosopher a true thinking man of God. What a wonderful teaching that indeed imagination is so specific to the downfall of man's and a womans nature. I never thought of it this way. We are brought up thinking that fairy tales and all this made up nonsense is alright and wow it has been weaponized against us in so many ways. Imagination is NOT a problem. Imagination leads to ingenuity and creativity. You mean to tell me that all the literature, poetry, architecture, paintings, films, and other creative imaginative arts are man's problem?! Get real. The problem with imagination is when it's confused with hearing the voice of God. This is how you can reliably distinguish the internal voice of the Spirit, the Counselor, from your own dark imaginings: Now the word of the Lord came to Solomon, “Concerning this house that you are building, if you will walk in my statutes and obey my rules and keep all my commandments and walk in them, then I will establish my WORD with you, which I spoke to David your father." - 1Kings 6:11-12 Notice how that refers to the spoken word, the rhema.
Furthermore, man's problem is his animal, or carnal, nature. All of us, at the core of our psyche (our soul) are two primal drives that EVERY behavior and desire is stacked upon by deep seated associations most of which are formed between the ages of 0 - 5 years old before the conscious mind with its discretion is developed. Those animal drives are survival and reproduction...and by nature are entirely selfish and are easily influenced and perverted, either as excessively passive or excessively aggressive in expression, through emotionally charged trauma ESPECIALLY in those most impressionable early childhood years. So, essentially, all of man's sins : lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and pride of life are natural (psuchikos) results of a triune nervous system (or flesh) that is a self contained animal organism unless/until God's Spirit quickens the system and dwells within, thus making man spiritual...if and when man tunes in and listens and obeys.

You must be learning from a false preacher that find a couple scriptures that sound like they are positive and then preaches to your feelings to make you feel good so that you might feel inclined to pay him for his good words and fair speeches that make you feel as though there is nothing wrong with sinning
