  • In this Essen City tour in Western Germany, I am walking you again through the City Center of Essen during the worldwide pandemic in May 2020 and cover various sightseeing spots within the City Center. Essen, which is also called the Shopping City of Germany, is the central and second largest city of the Ruhr, the largest urban area in Germany.

On the Ruhr and Emscher rivers, Essen geographically is part of the Rhineland and the larger Rhine-Ruhr Metropolitan Region. Essen is decidedly gaining ground in importance and denotation as an attractive city. More than 700 retail shops and boutiques are the reason why Essen’s downtown area has been such an attractive shopping place of long standing, and its cultural centers of attraction are quite convincing. It is also often considered as the energy capital of Germany with E.ON and RWE, Germany's largest energy providers, both headquartered in the city. I am starting this walk in the train just before my arrival in Essen then walking towards the city center and showing you various sights.
This 4K video tour covers the following city's attractions: Essen Main Station, Essen City Center, Rathaus Galerie Essen(Mall), St. Johann Baptist Church, Kennedyplatz
I hope you can relax and enjoy this beautiful walking tour. Feel free to give me feedback for this city tour during the pandemic in 2020 and please like and consider subscribing to my channel if you enjoy my work.

Really nice modern quarter, would be perfect for a bike tour on a summer day around the lake.
Also a walking tour in the japanese garden at Bayer Chempark in Leverkusen would be great, but it is currently closed because of covid.

@@AurumLuxuria As a lot of Germans with long-established family trees have got some migration background (maybe not 90%, but at least more than 25%) with having either some parents or grand parents that have been migrating, of course you can be German then. German is a nationality - What you mean was the tribe, the Germanics, who are long gone. Their legacy just has influenced the German, Austrian, English, Scandinavian, Dutch etc. cultures the most. Also most of the white "default" Germans are a mix of Germanic, Slavic, Celtic, Baltic and some other original tribes. That's it. They've always been - The rest is racist propaganda that you maybe believe. I would agree that it's hard to integrate orthodox muslims hardliners into Germany, because they would never accept the law system as the ultimo ratio. All the other people that adopt to the rules, support the country for its forthcomming and are open for their family members befriending and also dating the christian-atheistic default Europeans, should be welcomed. Every other opinion from my standpoint is a misleading medieval world view that will simply not survive and can thus be forgotton. It's a waste of time. If you really want to support European values, what I don't believe, stop stressing around and propagate enlightment and make the damn culture attractive instead. It's true, an Asian might never be a classical nordic blonde European and a nordic European cannot become a black African, while they can't be Dravids, but an Asian can become German - Not Germanic of course, but many of the whites can also not be entirely Germanic again.

I know a guy whose mother is oldschool German and who also has African background. He was entirely raised by his mother. Born and educated in the German school system. Why do you believe he cannot be German. Only because his skin isn't white? What kind of freaky opinion is that? If you go back some thousands of years, you'd find dark-brown hunter-gatherers with blue eyes in Europe. Now the original European people lost a lot of melanin over the time and fought as well as mixed with lots of other tribes, but in the end today's Germans can be dated back to such occurencies. As well as to the Great Migration. A lot of "default" white Germans are partly actually assimilated Slavic, Celtic or Baltic people. Not only and completely Germanic. That's a myth spread by racists. You can believe that and stay in the middle ages, but that's as senseful as hoping you'd be able to turn back time. Instead we should look forward and think about how we could clarify that it's all about values and ideas, about the rules and norms and not about damn skin color. That's where we as a people should meet. Everything else is a waste of time. German != Germanic. German = Speaking the language, befriending and exchanging also with other German people and adopting to associated norms and rules.
