I've spent every weekend crashing over and over for a month and a half now with my first skates in 20 years. Haha. Not good for me with my old injuries from gymnastics and powerlifting, but screw it, it's just too fun.

Wow! That’s so cool. I used to skate in a rink in Oklahoma City that had a much smaller pump track around it. This one is so big! I would love to skate at one like that.

LOL Tiago!! When I can't recover from a spill, something in my mind's mind tells me to "SIT DOWN" (with wrist guards) and that's what I do even if I've stumbled on gravel and it looks like I'm going to fall fwd. What a cool looking place to practice!!

That was great. I enjoy all the different things you try. It helps me realize that I will learn to skate eventually. Seriously please wear a helmet. You never know when some freaky thing might happen & you wreck your head. I know because I had a traumatic head injury. That’s why I am having so much trouble with balance on skates. Keep putting up videos! 👍☮️🌞

Such a cool track, i wanna see the long version! Also… you ever try getting your hair braided? When i wore helmets as a kid, i had braids most of the time so my skull always fit into the helmet.

I have a friend with similar hair like yours. Even though I'm an advocate for always wearing a helmet, I made a exception for my floofy haired friend, because it's just difficult. Set those curls freeeeeeeeee

So...Tiago...are you on a rockered setup in the pumptrack?
So what are the techniques you recommend when skating a pump track for the first time? I saw knees bent, stay low, weight forward, and looked like skates slightly staggered.
At least the track we have here requires you to actually pump. So, enter low and stand up by pushing down in the middle/the lowest point, bend your knees and throw your weight upward going up again. Basically, like you would pump a pipe. If you are fast enough going upward, you will be able to "air" the bumps, best do this before steep declines, else you loose too much speed.
Fall down 7 times, stand up 8

i skate fila. fitness skates. really comfortable. 84mm really fast. for the price they are very good quality. never had any problems with them
i got fila Primo alu 84 (aluminium frame 84mm wheels)

I wonder if there is a pump track in the United States. This country is so overrun by capitalism nobody has any time for fun and things like velodromes and pump tracks are not ever considered worthwhile investments...
Time to cut your hair short for your own safety...
