I bought a used Series-8 Gold Apple Watch from Amazon. The description said it was a “Premium” refurbished product. But when I got it the screen and body were scratched.
Wait, you can't check if it's Apple locked from the watch itself? I assumed that if it wasn't tied to any iCloud then the watch was good to go.. Though now thinking about it I can see why that's not enough 😅 I'm planning on getting a cheap iPhone in order to use the watch (need it as a health appliance of sorts they're the best at that stuff) but haven't bought the phone yet. Guess I need to buy it before the watch 😅 thank you!
I bought one and it was luck but the person give me the emails and password so I’m ok got me scaring a little plus the box was not the reels one just the watch reel I checked everything lol .Your videos got me to asking my self a other question if I decide to sell my watch in the future are giving it to my daughter do I have to asked the person that selling me te watch again for email and password tanks in advance for helping me with this question good videos by the way
i just bought a apple watch ultra off eBay for pretty cheap (I sent a best offer that I was surprised was accepted)....when I realized he lived close by I offered to come in person after talking to him on the phone; he doesnt have a reciept and sounds super sketch. I will check the IMEI and activation lock (ebay has a 30 day protection plan) im not worried about that but I'm worried if its secretly on payments and then it gets blacklisted or something - is there anyway to check that?
Thanks for your reply. I asked him, and does claim to have paid it off but has no proof. Im surprised theres no way to see if its financed, have looked everywhere the only data I can get is if its financed through the cellular companies they'll have a checker on their website that you can check but through apple theres not a way to tell@@ardentlytech
Use serial number check online and see if it says find my watch “off” and if it says that it’s clear for set up.. I typed a more detailed explanation but for some reason it didn’t post
Thank you very much for the tips. Your advices was honest and really helpful 🙏😊 I am planning to meet up wth someone from FB marketplace and thanks to ur tips, I will be really careful. Also I'm bringing my hb with me, just in case 🤷♀️
Great tips If you're buying online then you're mainly covered. However if you're buying in person then: 1. Ask for iCloud lock 2. Ask them to give you time before paying to allow to set it up beforehand. If they refuse then they're scamming you. 3. Ask them have the Apple Watch charged 4. Take a friend to meet with you A 5th tip that wasn't part of this video is: Beware of FAKE Apple Watches. See th-cam.com/video/3G1XfY9BYPs/w-d-xo.html
Same issue with Apple iwatch SE

That’s rough, sorry that happened 😭
@ Yup. The original owner managed to scratch the Sapphire Crystal and body. I’ll only buy open-box or Apple certified refurbished.

Hmmm honestly that’s a great question and I have no clue. Besides just asking the person up front. I’d say trust your gut tho!

Glad to hear! I would love to hear how it turns out. Hope it's in your favor!
Dang bro that sucks! Hopefully never again. We try so much to avoid scams but sometimes they just happen
This is why I only by from eBay verified cellars
Yeah I wish I had done that too. Lesson learned!
So this is why it won’t pair
