This instruction is absolutely amazing; your verbal directions, along with the visual of fabric cut sizes and layout, taking us step by step is absolutely what I have needed. For two days I have been searching, watching, and listening online for flap pillowcases only to come away confused with a cluttered mind. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Have just made 9 year old grandson this case out of 'Walking Dead' fabric. He's not allowed to watch the show so this has made me the coolest grandma ever. (And saved me a lot of money.) So thanks from the UK.

I’ve been watching several similar instructions for making a pillowcase with a flap but yours is by far the best. You speak so clearly, you are very well organised and the directions seem very easy to follow. I just bought some fabric and can’t wait to get started. Thank you so much for making such an inspiring video.

How would you do this exact pillowcase with an inner flap matching the accent strip to hide the pillow with french seams? For those who do not have a serger. And I would love to learn how to do directional fabric on both the pillow body, and the cuff, and a matching inner flap to the accent strip to hide the pillow with french seams. Thank you in advance

UK pillowcases come with flaps, and you have just provided me with detailed instructions on how to make them, with the added 'designer' touch of an accent piece and different cuff. Thank you so much. Your videos are clear and concise and easy to follow. One of the best I've seen. Keep up the good work! God Bless.

I'm so glad I found this video! I needed to make a couple of toddler pillowcases to go with a quilt I made. I wanted that flap to keep the pillow in place as well as hide it from view. I saw a flap pillowcase tutorial a few weeks ago. It is a great instructional video, but I wanted to make the pillowcase with the cuff on both the front and back. Your method can be made with the cuff on both sides. Eureka! Thanks for all the wonderful tutorials. I have learned so much watching your channel.

These are perfect pillow cases. I was leery of not sizing them to the pillow but her method of tucking the longer cases to custom fit any pillow is brilliant. Being a directional klutz it took making a few for the Eureka! moment but now feel I could do these in my sleep. Yep, she's the best.

Cannot wait for my machine to get back from the shop so I can make new pillowcases for my bed to match my quilt. Luckily I planned for shams when I bought for the quilt. I have those protective covers on my pillows and that stuff is SLIMEY! My pillows will not stay in their case and now they will! I also make a pillowcase for every quilt I make as a gift and will start using this method.

Leave it to you, Laura, to come up with a pillowcase tutorial that's different from the others out there. It was interesting to see comments from your viewers that this style is the norm for some countries outside the U.S. I like how you demonstrated it can be used for different sizes just by tucking it in on one end. This is so cool - kind of like a two-for-one offer; makes me think of it as a "Pillowshamcase".

Ahhh, finally, just what I needed. all the other patterns are useless, you can see the pillow and at night shifts so you lie on the inner. Thank you Laura 😁👍

Fabulous! I watched another pillowcase tutorial but they didn't have the inside cuff. All British pillowcases have that cuff to hide the pillow...took me a long time to get used to that as all my Canadian ones were different! I need to write down the measurements 😊. Thanks Laura!

I love this style pillowcase, reminds me of my childhood! I have purchased them in the store before - but they are far and few between. The border and matching cover are gorgeous!
