I know I give you brothers critique damn near weekly (it’s all out of love lol) but this right here is fire. I’ve been down with this channel since it was about 4-5K subscribers and to see the growth of this channel has been dope to watch. First the Hit Boy interview with Coop and now Mike gets an interview with Gipp. Much respect and success to both you brothers. Keep up the good work 💯
Big Boi needs more credit
MUCH more credit! Big Boi been holding it all the way down for ATL Hip Hop for decades.
@@Don.M. and doesn't get the credit that he should
You know how much tour money they missed out on because of Andre the whole camp
I agree
Shhhhhh you speaking too much truth
“Soul Food” top five in my book
Great interview Mike !!! Many people forget that other than Get up Get Out & Players Ball Nobody on the East Coast Was Playing That 94 Kast Album. But Everybody on the East was Rocking that 95 Goodie Mob Soul Food Classic Album !!! 🔥 We didn't start Bumping Kast until ATLiens came in 96 !!! 💯
I'm from Jerse and we played Kast in 94. that album was fire from the rip
@@dontewalker2698 You were in the very few minority !!! Why do you think Kast got Boo'd at the 1995 Source Awards ??? Because NOBODY Knew them !!! 💯
I'm from New York and we never played hillbilly music! And we never still don't! F ya life! And F the south, the death place of hip hop!
It feels good to see the growth and moments in time in this channel. Southern rap legend Big Gipp on the channel!!
Great job with this interview @Mike D. Found the most interesting parts to be the possible collab album between 2Pac and Goodie Mob, along with Pimp C calling Big Gipp to "borrow" his style for his "Big Pimpin" verse.
Dope interview. Shout out Big Gipp and on the song Cell Therapy that came about because somebody from the crew read the book Behold A Pale Horse by William Cooper which was mandatory reading for my generation.
Imagine what Gipp would say if Jay did a flute album.
Sir Gipp don't like jay-z get over it
@BrandonHaymon Mr, I am allergic to haters and hypocrites.
@@awene4675 again Gipp doesn't like jay-z get over it
@@BrandonHaymon I'll try.
@@awene4675 dude get life
Classic Interview💎 Goodie Mob⭐️ Forever🎊🎊🎊
Dude doesn't have to mention NYC in every interview. I'm from NC, but damn it seems like ATL is acting how NYC used to act. Get over it.
Agreed he was hating on Jay on art of dialogue. I take bits and pieces from him. He is proof that not all “legends” are as wise as people want them to be. They just know who to big dawg.
Salute 🫡 to A2HH, y’all and Rap Roundtable are the only hip hop channels I watch
frshout dope too check em out
@@dublebarrel263 I’ve been hearing about them, I’ll definitely check them out.
Tight interview Mike! Gipp is onne of the best. I really dig his words about the importance of the DF working together, reading, listening, and being original, coming from and r&b label. I agee with him on that new andre album, doing something different for music and art. The importance of the DF gave all those guys that independent revolutionary thinking. When he talks about being like chuck d and ice t I most certainly see that in gipp.
This fiyah my fam from Chatham County GA. great summers leaving NYC in 80s and 90s as a child
I love the growth. I see the vision. Salute brothers. Especially you Mike. You did that
Dungeon family greatest group in Hip Hop History 🔥
Dope interview
Good stuff Mike… Gipp gets a lot of respect from me
GREAT DISCUSSION FELLAS!! 👍🏾
Dope interview and look!!! ... but why Gipp dressed like the Vampire in Brooklyn?!?! Lol
😂
On the Van Helsing side of the game
Salute to the legend Big Gipp. 🔥
Mike you are built for this. It's very natural for you. Salute
Niggaz gon hate on New York no matter what 😂😂😂
Just like new york hate on everybody right. If you can dish out you can take it too. So stop crying
@@BrandonHaymonNY don’t hate yall. We don’t care about yall. Let the insecurity go and enjoy ya chitlins
@@ZYaKnoe249 That's a projection. New York ya'll are biggest haters. Your track record specks for itself
@@BrandonHaymonour track record for producing GOATS vs yall ruining hip hop
They mad because they ran hip hop in the ground 😂😂
Had opportunity to see Goodie M.O.B. 2wice, 1st time they was opening up for The Fugees, 2nd time they performed at Jesse Auditorium on Mizzou's campus on a ticket with De La Soul🔥 Been bumping 'Kast since my Jr year in HS "ain't know thang but a chicken wang" and Goodie M.O.B. soon as they dropped that Cell Therapy single💯

Great interview Mike!
Gipp with the heavy ATL bias 😅
But it's okay to be new york bias tho.
@@BrandonHaymonbecause we actually produce greatness and quality
@@ZYaKnoe249 actually it was the south
@@BrandonHaymonthe worst hip hop comes from y’all region
@@PeterStone-hy6ir Sir the south have been running hip-hop for years just like west coast did in the early 90s that's why ya'll was hating on the west coast and ya'll still hating till this day.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great Interview Mike D! I love the brotha Gipp’s enterprise mindset. Would love to see if y’all could link with Jermaine Dupri 🔥
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great interview Mike
Great interview.
Good interview but I was expecting more
i love the way he pronounces genre as ""gendra" haha
Gipp is also a fashion icon
It feels like. It world party the CD again. So much love to infinity and beyond that for this group keeping real in your eyes and face. Loving the craft and giving their real energy to show us how we can really live together and make money. Rip pimp c and dj screw. And many more. Fat pat. His brother hawk. It's something about the south. Dre said it best. The south got something to say
Podcasting has opened a lane for some rappers a 2nd career
Meanwhile he’s been reduced to hating
Mike D is a good interviewer
NEW YORK - Gave birth to Hip Hop.
The West Coast - Helped raise it.
The South - Gave it a late abortion!
First lol
Let’s not do that, let’s not give Andre an excuse, it’s insulting our intelligence
Bro said ny a podcaster town 💀
Hilarious 😂
Meanwhile ATL is a stripper town and home to the Saucy Santanas
Every single podcaster were bigger than Gipp 😂😂😂
@@ZYaKnoe249😂😂😂
This country bamma wish he was accepted by the gods but they never was. All he has now is PTSD from when NYC was punkin these slow bammas. He still mad that he always was and always will be irrelevant in the Mecca! You might mean something down south in the forest and them dirt roads, but where it counts your irrelevant!
