Thanks for this video! Looks like a pretty straight forward procedure to get the DRL function enabled. I have a 2011 Mustang (U.S. Car) that was imported to Canada and somehow has managed to get into my hands without the DRL's enabled (mandatory in Canada). I imagine a Ford Dealer using the IDS tool could enable the DRL's with just a few clicks.....but will charge a minimum 1 hr. labor. I'm calling around now to see if they even know how to do it, as I guess they don't get many cars coming in with them disabled.
Had to go to 2 different Ford dealerships, same names but different towns. Second one got it done for me. Thanks for the video!
Lucky you, i want them on on fleet work truck and they would go from explaining how Ford doesn't provide them means to do so, to asking me why i want it, because they stupid, not turning on the tail lights with it, ahhhh. How they can be mechanics and not try understand drls

I have 2017 explorer limited. I configured my low beams and signature led strip to work as drls using Forscan, later I had to restore my bcm module. Now I’m unable to configure it again😢. All I got is high beams working as DRL and nothing else,

That double honk as you exited was your vehicle telling you the ignition was still turned on and the key fob was no longer in the vehicle. This feature is designed to stop people from leaving their Push to Start vehicles running after they left it.

You can only enable regular low beam DRL on your model year Expedition. Currently no one has figured out the As Built code for turn-signal-as-DRL on these trucks yet.

So my Explorer has the HID headight housing but I converted mine to LED’s. Do you think there’s a way to work around that to be able to use the LED’s as the DRL’s?

I have tried doing the same on my 2014 for Ranger but the module requires a file AB39-14C097-AA. How did you get this file?
Sounds like it needs a calibration file. I’ve never came across this on any of my vehicles but from what I’ve read Forscan should download it for you as long as your laptop is connected to the internet
Hi Anthony, many thanks for the video, i have a 2016 sport, the DRL (signature light) are on when the headlight knob is OFF , when i put it on AUTO it turn OFF, can i turn the DRL ON even when the headlights are on AUTO mode ?

Would you happen to know how to initiate the rear LED Bar on the 2017 Ford Edge SE? They are turned on for the Titanium and Sport Models, and I highly doubt Ford had 2 separate lights manufactured for these vehicles! Kind of like Brail on Drive-Thru ATMs!!! Thank You... Semper Fi (0311/8621 ~ Disabled). P.S. - I have the full version of Forescan and equipment to hook up to the OBDII Port.

Hi Anthony. Great video. I have a 2015 explorer Sport which is a US model with no DRLs. We are moving to Canada and I'm going to import the vehicle therefore DRLs are mandatory. My dealer here is saying can't be done. Will this process work for on my US vehicle?

Hello there. Are you going to make a video on the global open/close option? I have a 2015 Ford Fiesta and I'd like to see a tutorial on how to enable that feature.
On an Explorer you have to add a wire from the BCM to each door harness interconnect. I don't have the terminals to do this. When I do, I will make a video. Does your Fiesta have AUTO UP/DOWN windows. The fiesta maybe prewired already, I've heard the Focus is. All you will have to do is turn the options on in the BCM the same way I turned on DRL.
First of all thanks for your quick response. My Fiesta has auto up/down function but I only have electric windows in front. The rear windows are manually operated. I wonder if that's going to work.?
will this work on 2012 f150 xtr with halogen housing? i want my DRL to be the TURN SIGNAL instead of the headlight drl? thanks
Considering that HID headlamps were available for your truck I would assume there is a selection available to make just turn signals the DRLs as HID headlamps cannot be used as DRLs.
So it connects through Bluetooth from Laptop to OBD? Do you know if Forscan light for android supports DRL settings?
tallll70 settings can only be changed in the Windows version, as of now.

great video man! can i access to change drl on my 2012 explorer xlt without having on/off switch of the bafx obd2 mcan bus? it will be great as well if you have video on how to add that switch. cheers
Body Control Unit (module you are changing in the video) is on the HS-CAN line. THis is the default line that the BAFX unit uses. So you can change the DRL setting with no switch. If you want to add a switch I've added a link in the description to the forscan site that shows how to add the switch.
thanks, follow up question if i may, can i re-write/ re program my exiting key fob using forscan? system says vehicle has 4 master keys but i only have two. i'm the second owner and dont know what is the story behind this from the previous owner :)

Nick Znavor got the output signal working but the motors in doors don’t react, not provisioned. Sunroof worked though but only open

Euler Stem they should have the capability as well. If you have the HID projectors then you have to use the turn signal lights as your DRL. HIDs cannot run at 50% power. If you have regular halogen bulbs, they would be fine at 50%. Must be laptop as that is the only version that will allow programming.
Anthony Shelton great i recently installed after market lights from akkon they have projector lights as low beams as well as LED daytime lights which i would like to have run automatically. I have been driving with the dim lights setting (the setting that just puts the turn signals on) and the LEDs come on with that setting. that leads me to believe this would work for my problem. Your confirmation would make me feel a lot better about it. i also cannot find the adjustment for the low beams. any input would be awesome thanks
