The Song of Wandering Aengus by William Butler Yeats

I learned this setting of the classic poem, publishied in 1897, from my mother Nóirín, and she isn't sure where she got it from herself. Aengus is the ancient Celtic God of Love, Youth and Poetry.

The basic setting is from Bud and Travis in the fifties. They were an American folk duo. You have done it full justice. I still like my setting though; I used Carolan’s Colonel John Irwin (AKA Planxty Irwin).
