Micah christensen smiling when he goes to serve is such a mood, he truly plays at such an expectational level while enjoying himself as well. And Defalco is just a machine man holy, that 128km/h+ swing was nuts

TJ Defalco was destroying everything in his path, blocking, jousting, playing defense, serving aces, smashing sets, he had such a high efficiency game. He made the difference in the game.

Kyle Russell is the real hero today. He is a game changer for USA team today. However, every guys played well today. Micah has a good set. Aaron has great spike and he has many amazing dig today. Smith has many beautiful play on middle, and Jeff has a good block in many important score. Always cheer for USA from Thailand.

Two tall setters. Giannelli is still in Perugia and despite I don't like the team, I hope he wins something important because he deserved it. Same with Micah Cristenson, I think he was underappreciated during his time in Italy and that was a shame. He deserved more. He still has one year with Kazan.

The passing unit for USA was GREAT today gave Micah all the options to run the offend. There were a few KEY PLAYS leading to the upset. Well done USA team! We are hungry for GOLD!!!!!

I really loved the risk that Coach Speraw made when he put Kyle Russell in sets 3 and 4! Actually I got mad but it was a slap on face. Imagine, Kyle Russell added on the blockinga that destroyed Leal's power hitting cross courts spikes. Kudos to Speraw for his WISE DECISION! This is a high risk with high reward! congrats USA! Your semis is a again a very tough one against POLAND
Yes I'm glad Kyle Russell got more time on court! Sometimes he comes on and looks nervous but he was able to get comfortable and show what he can do. His serves are especially valuable.
Gotta say, De Falco improved a lot. Go watch previous videos of their international competitions to get a point of reference. Looks like USA is still looking for the heir to Anderson's position, but the current Outsides are doing pretty good..

It's very good to see USA doing well after very disappointing results in olympic 2021. Hope they win their first VNL title this year.
Russel is a difference maker. Losing the Italian League MVP right before the Olympics was devastating. De Falco and Jendrick are both looking way more seasoned now too.

I’m literally so late to this but everyone did wonderfully! Defalco still has me gapping at the sheer amount of raw power he has, it’s absolutely crazy. And I can’t believe I called the last service ace done by Micah 😂 I said “watch, he’s gonna end it with a service ace” and he does! It’s insane haha
Sad that Brazil has been eliminated, but I’m also happy team USA moved up :)

Defalco delivered big time. However, there was something that seemed to bother him. He was too serious at times and stiff. Fortunately, he managed very well and was able to deal with whatever was annoying him.

They both are superb: they both played well yet there must be the winner and the looser under the terms of competition. Congrate to both of their wonderful performance throughout. I am admired by these people as they all are not only tall and big but they are also feircely and quickly fast.

Na primeira semana em Brasília a derrota para os EUA foi a ausência do Lucarelli e Leal. Agora não há mais desculpas. O Brasil precisa urgentemente de uma reformulação, tanto na comissão técnica como no elenco. Leal foi uma das maiores decepções dessa VNL, ele sobra na força e peca na tática e técnica. 4 bolas erradas seguidas no 4° set nem infanto-juvenil faz isso. Lucão é bom no ataque por causa do entrosamento com o Bruno, mas no saque deixa muito a desejar, totalmente sem nexo ele entrar e errar vários saques enquanto o Isac via tudo do banco. Lucarelli ótimo jogador, mas o psicológico dele é muito frágil, quem acompanha a seleção sabe que nos momentos decisivos ele sempre comete falhas. Nalbert colocar a culpa na ausência de opostos é brincadeira, o Darlan na minha visão foi o melhor jogador do Brasil nessa competição, jovem com muita garra e força.
A renovada seleção feminina que tinha mais da metade das titulares estreantes (Kudiess, Kisy, Natália e Bergmann), que não tinha obrigação nenhuma de chegar onde chegou, conquistou um vice-campeonato batendo várias seleções fortes. Seleção masculina termina essa VNL sem ter vencido uma seleção do alto escalão (derrota pros EUA 2x, França, Polônia). E se tivessem pego a Itália na fase preliminar provavelmente iriam perder também.
Não precisa ser visionário pra saber que o Brasil não vai brigar nem pelo bronze nesse Mundial.

I'm so happy with the progress defalco has made playing in the Italian league, he has the potential to be the best outside hitter in the world in this upcoming generation
He needs to surpass Tay Sander’s level first, which I think, even by overall impact, he’s not there yet, let alone court attitude. Taylor Sander still hits different together with Aaron as OHs. My two cents.
@@supremeabsolutism5678 aaron choked in this game like he always does in big games. Good thing Defalco was steady. Sander is as unreliable as Aaron that's why they didnt podium finish.
@@gerlan201 I disagree. Watched how they play since NCAA from BYU (Tay) and Penn State (Aaron). Their difference of play with other college stars are totally prominent. Hence, Tay, straight after college (afaik), debuted to Natl team immediately and won together with Micah the World League gold in 2014. Aaron, followed through in 2015, though they lost to Serbia come-from-behind in 5 sets in semis.
TJ commenced in 2017, together with Jeff Jendryk and Ben Patch. Yes, TJ was still in college at this time, which you would think how great he must’ve been since Speraw got him to the team even as a college player. Yet, he was still inconsistent, most especially as to his passes, considering he’s an OH, let alone variation of his attacks. Tay, tho, has been generally consistent. After the World League gold and MVP, he landed a contract to play with Blu Volley Verona in Italian League Series A1.
I don’t want to really compare him with TJ, but the stark difference is real.
BYU only medalled once in Sander days. LBSU had 2peat championships +1 silver with Defalco. Speaks a lot about championship mentality.
Defalco plays in the Polish league tho

Since they lost at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the team Brazil is not what it used to be.
I'm Japanese and I've followed them for more than 10 years, and I really respect them.
Every time I saw them Brazil won the Gold Medal......but now they can't even reach Bronze.
It's so sad, but I hope the best for them at the World Championship. Vamos Brasil!!

Beautiful match. Really wish I got to see it, but it's in the middle of the day for work, and I don't know how to purchase it for viewing later. Really wish the USA website or VNL would make this easier - the USA website doesn't even advertise the Men's team properly.
