Same here. I like his older videos like these. I don't like that he and chris stuckmann barely do reviews anymore. just something about john riding across Indiana for movies sound like a fun adventure, especially since i haven't been there yet.
@wetmovie1 Yeah the sword in the stone is over looked compared to other classic Disney films. I just watched it and Merlin is still bad ass in my opinion man. Thanks for watching.
@jimbolimbo369 yes in my early days I used my desk lamp, but in my newer videos I use around 6 lights and green screens and all that good stuff. I even have a video showing the lights I use, it called behind the scenes.
I'm not sure if this is a hot take, but I prefer this early version of John. Maybe it's partly because of that muscle man persona he acquired, but I find the current John less interesting.
@I3enchman yeah i would like to, but im waitng to redo my shelves. Im out of room right now so i have dvds stacked in odd places. One day it will happen haha.
@davidrediger with all the crazy shit going on with UFO I don't doubt there is something going on, we don't know about. And no I haven't seen family, I will IMDB it later.
@Absolutsublime1 haha, I was waiting for somone to notice that. Those are my feet from a bad sunburn. You cant tell in the pic, but they were gross looking. Yeah the steelbook is nice, but no room for the digital copy kind of a let down. Seems like both of us have a toy story case issue.
@acidhouse100 well, i really enjoy films that cover all bases. For example forrest gump had drama, action, comedy. Its films that can do this that i love. But ill sit down for a good action film any day. Point break is my all time fav for action. How about you?
“I’m really positive right now…. yeah but with all this fucking good luck I feel like I’m gonna get into a car crash on the way home and have to get both legs amputated but no big deal. I’m gonna stop and get some coney dogs on the way home.” This is one of the many reasons why I’m subbed to this legend.
@mrcinemajunky well i referring to your referral of my referral. Haha never mind. Any ways the holy grail was a great plot in my opinion. I loved Indy 3 the best.
i remember watching this video and subscribed instantly dont even know why. I just liked that dude. 5 years later still watching every video this dude uploads. Nice job! I salute you sir!
@jpatton1989 Just wanted to let ya know...it was the second one...Temple of Doom...with the stones...the third one, The Last Crusade, was a search for the Holy Grail.
@theFLICKpick I was refering to your comment on the 4th Indiana Jones movie. And was also letting jpatton know the 3rd installment was about the holy grail. I wasnt sure which referal you were refering to...lol
I actually hit a pawn shop for the first time last week while taking care of a traffic ticket downtown as well...kinda crazy. Found some great buys myself as well. Pretty sweet pickups with the Boondock Saints 2 steelbook. I haven't seen the sequel yet...you should review it and let us know if it's worth the watch.
@theFLICKpick No, I could tell they looked gross , they looked swollen and bumpy yuck! Glad you recovered, thought they might have been amputated. However I say that out of the goodness of my heart :) I'm surprised I was the first person to mention it though. Still your Toy Story 3 was more of an upnote, that was an awesome deal! I'm really disappointed in the set I picked up.
Hey...Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was awesome! What didn't you like about it? It's a great, entertaining, Indiana Jones flick. It had the same kind of adventure feel as the first three.
Time's have changed big time... you look at the amount of movies on the shelves in Best Buy back then compared to now and the hunting just isn't what it used to be
I'm rewatching the Flick Pick saga from the beginning
Same here. I like his older videos like these. I don't like that he and chris stuckmann barely do reviews anymore. just something about john riding across Indiana for movies sound like a fun adventure, especially since i haven't been there yet.

@DVDCOLLECTORDANIEL thanks, hope you check more out in the future.
@wetmovie1 Yeah the sword in the stone is over looked compared to other classic Disney films. I just watched it and Merlin is still bad ass in my opinion man. Thanks for watching.
One of the best TH-camrs these are the best type of TH-cam videos
@mrcinemajunky what are you referring too? I know the main plot of each of the movies.
The video that started it all
@jimbolimbo369 yes in my early days I used my desk lamp, but in my newer videos I use around 6 lights and green screens and all that good stuff. I even have a video showing the lights I use, it called behind the scenes.
Love these old videos popin' in my recommendation! New beefy John > Alien boy John!

+Juan Perez The Q&A brought us here
+OluchI Sparkle Not Me!
+Tom Hanninger Actually he probably had other videos before this.
Yeah, there were some others that I remember.
He probably unlisted them because when you look at your old videos, you tend cringe harder than star wars episode 2
@80sSlashers no, buybacks must be a regional store or something. Ive never heard of it. What are the prices like?
@DirectorAlexC I usually only pay 8.
and so a legend was born...
I'm not sure if this is a hot take, but I prefer this early version of John. Maybe it's partly because of that muscle man persona he acquired, but I find the current John less interesting.

I'm sorry i don't know why I'm watching this
can we talk about that desktop screensaver?
This can’t be the very first video made right? There had to have been more earlier, perhaps deleted?
He has mentioned deleting even older videos so yeah he did post vids to youtube before this one but deleted them. I'd like to see them too :)
@@Strangepete I wish they were hidden or private so he could make them public. Im curious as to what his very first video was exactly
@DirectorAlexC i wish i was rich.
@jpatton1989 Just wanted to let ya know...it was the second one...Temple of Doom...with the stones...the third one, The Last Crusade, was a search for the Holy Grail.
Can't believe how much of a difference it makes over the last 7 years.
Watching this 2022 I've been a fan since stuckmann had him on and it's so good to see where it all began. U are an inspiring film lover
So if you arent rich how you get all this movies :P?
you should do a video overview of your whole collection
so here is where it all began
is this the oldest video of the flick pick?
That's too funny "If I have a warrant no big deal"
awesome vid i got toy stroy 3 also its AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
I came back to this video because I miss seeing John in the basement!
Ah yes. Such a classic first video
the nome didnt look sad
The way I see it there are 4 or 5 phases of John's youtube career
The phases can roughly be seperated by each time he moved
Why does youtube say this is his first video? There's been more before this one
You've come a long way sir.
This was 4 years ago.. insane

Really an amazing difference from five years ago to today...
What do you use for the lighting in your videos while your sitting at your desk. I'm a film student, that's why I ask.
your second of many steel books

You seem very serious in this vid
Cool video. Re-Animator is a fun zombie movie. It'd be pretty hard not to like it. I like these pawn shop type vids
Damn.
You never know when a bad day will turn good and the mist and reanimator for $2, damn I gotta hit my pawn shops.
woah, this really is the very first video of this channel :o
No it isn't
Does pawn shops take movies as collateral..i guess my Ipad would be okay to pawn .. I might try one with cashpawnsales Austin
Damn your lucky! A Blu ray for 10$! WOW!
is this the very first video? or was there more that were deleted?

My word, 2010 seems like a lifetime ago. I didn't know you had a channel this long.
This is his first video.....
@journeyowns Yeah when I seen it my heart jumped a beat...saints 2 is good, not great. If you like #1 you will at least enjoy #2
I don't want to watch The Mist again. It's a good movie, but the end just makes me want to not live anymore. That's how sad it is.
the feet.............................

great movies choice, like the Toy Story steelbook :) to bad that i cant get the steelbook edition in Sweden :(
I wonder if hes ever gotten around to watching re-animator?
if john started making youtube videos in 2015-16 he could have easily turned into a meme
You used the phrase "in my last videos" but this is the earliest video you have posted on your channel. Did you delete some of your old videos?
Awesome deal on the Toy Story 3 ! Steelbook for life!
What the heck is up with the feet on your computer screen haha?

i have texas chainsaw massacre the orignal steelbook it rules
Where tf does John get all his money?

ARE YOU BUYING DVD'S JOHN... what a disgrace
You should do a video where you react to your earlier videos like this, and try to survive without dying inside ahahaha
WTF that screen with a foot pic? haha.
