Really!? How saddening... From what your website suggested, the Navette was one of the more popular knives from Thiers Issard, which makes me wonder why they decided to discontinue it. Well, I appreciate that you informed me of this, regardless. Thanks again for watching and for the kind words. Cheers!
As for the knife being used in weaving mills, it was my uderstanding (as explained by Knives-of-France in a comment to his video about this model) that the weaving connection came from the knife pattern which resembles a loom, rather than from its usage... But who knows?
Perhaps you are correct. I recall that the name of the knife is garnered from its resemblance to the shuttle (navette) on a loom. Knowing me, I likely made the roundabout connection that the knife was employed in weaving mills simply due to the name! Maybe they *were* used in such an environment, but as you said; "who knows?" Either way, my memory tends to muddle certain details, so I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong. Cheers!
Well, my apologies-it seems like the captions can't be enabled for whatever reason. I will see if I can find a solution for this in the morrow, but in the meantime, I do apologise for the inconvenience!
Well, I've had a look through the options on TH-cam Studio, and it would seem that enabling captions is not possible! This surprises me, greatly, as I could have sworn there was an option to turn them on. Either way, I apologise for the lack of subtitles. I'll give it another look, but as far as I can tell, they can't be enabled on this particular video-which is odd, as they usually work on my other videos. Sorry for the trouble!
It's a beauty
Much agreed!
Thanks for watching and cheers, Randy!
Very nice looking knife! Thanks for showing it off, buddy!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, David!
Cheers!
A very enjoyable episode and greatly appreciated, thank you
Thank you kindly! I'm glad you enjoyed it. 😊
Cheers!
Pretty good review, on point with the knife. Unfortunately, Thiers Issard decided to discontinue its production 😟

Captions please - some of us are hard of hearing 👍
Hm, usually, captions are automatically enabled. 🤔 I'll see if I can get them working.
