Do you know what the bird at 2:00 is?

That is an American Crow! I think it's one of the juveniles. We have 2 adults and 3 juveniles that frequently show up at the feeder!

@@thebirdperch_MI Hello 👋 All the crows, crackles, robins, and red-winged blackbirds have all left Northwestern, Illinois. Do they all leave your area at a specific point in August or September?

@@FASTTRACK2ENGLISH I think they all stay a little longer, maybe late September/early October? Not all of the Robins leave, we had a few that wintered around here last year. The Red-winged Blackbirds and Grackles go south. The Crows stay around here but do something interesting! I'm not sure when they start but it's in the fall sometime, They will gather in a very large group, has to be thousands of them, in the evenings. Once they have gathered, they all take off in a big stream of birds in the sky to some other location to roost. In late 2022, I found the location in my area where they meet and it was quite incredible!! I'm not sure where they would go but each morning, I believe they return to their own territories!

@@thebirdperch_MI Nature is amazing. Isn't it? The reason I ask is because there comes a time in the fall where I put my basket feeders out because otherwise all the black birds crowd feeders and they scare the Cardinals and other birds away..

@@thebirdperch_MI Oh, LOL. I didn't recognize it because of what looked like a wattle on its neck.
