I think their label are the one that decide if their artists should use autotune or not, avril lavigne and stray kids performances are the example that were heavily edited.
Love the stripped down sound of TFT performances. It really showcases the talent and skill of the musicians. When it sounds so good without all the bells and whistles, you know the performer is a great musician.
