ByteDance Has No Plans to Sell TikTok

- ByteDance said it does not have any plan to sell TikTok, according to a statement on the Chinese-language social media platform the company owns. Under a new law, ByteDance has to sell the app within 270 days. Michael Shepard reports.

China will not allow Byte Dance to sell Tiktok. So if TikTok lost the legal battle. It will take the ban! But the teenagers nowadays are tech savvy. They wil find a way to get around the ban.

@@roymoxley2587 Sure there is. U don't need the App store to download updates. Sportify and others have shown U that. Users can put the app and updates in github, reddit.... U also have VPN to get around firewalls put up by telcos. It's just more troublesome.

Yes there is. VPNs. People in china, Russia and etc already use them to get around banned social media sites in those countries.

There wouldn't be any because it would require these people to sign up to for TH-cam Facebook and Instagram for mass communication and the censorship on them would stomp down any disorder

TikTok won’t be sold to a US firm. People in the US can buy a VPN to continue using it. Might be a good idea to invest in some VPNs.
