    I worked for BankOne/JPMC, for 10 yrs, from 2000-2010. Jamie and the executive committee (LOB and Corp unit execs), were tough (but fair) SOBs... they did not and do not suffer fools easily... smartest guys I’ve ever been around (albeit I was 4-5 levels below that group)

    Interesting stories and lots of perspective. Must have been something growing up so close to Wall St. Quite a contrast with my own experience of the California suburbs and an old ranching family. Once upon a time Silicon Valley was better known as the Valley of Hearts Delight for its abundant growing land. We were a bread basket for the world until tech took over. Very different times and beginnings.

    *Jamie Dimon is from PS 69 Primary School, which is a puclic school in Jackson Heights, Queens, NY. He studied there from 1st to 5th grade. I wonder if he has been there again. If I were him, I would go there and connect with my roots.*

    Why does JPM hold so much silver and why are they manipulating the price ? No one ever asks Dimon the tough questions about relationship with the FRB and controlling money supply and petro dollars under threat of military force.

      Jamie Dimon and JPM have made tonnes of money ripping off the investors and the nation. He's got off very lightly by just paying fines for all the crimes due to his proximity to the politicians like all successful capitalists. Nobody asks these people the tough questions. Just check out his compensation every year however bad the economy.

      Lol yea ok, JP Morgan was one of the original developers of the credit default swap..they came out ahead because they were in a position to vulture up firms like bear stearns like a gift. They may have been one of the smarter shops out there but they definitely lost plenty of money and got hammered just the same and were engaged in all of the same things. In fact im pretty sure I remember seeing a sound bite on the crisis anniversary of dimon himself saying "somehow we just missed that housing doesn't always go up"
