How to find a Part-time Job in Canada? Niagara Falls Vlog, Toronto Trip

- Hi everyone, This is our travel vlog Part 2 of our Vancouver to Toronto Trip. In this vlog, we will visit Niagara Falls which is the most famous falls in Canada. Everyone that visit Toronto for tourism must definitely go to Niagara Falls as it is very beautiful & a famous tourist attraction. It is famous as it shares the USA International Border with Canada. On our way to Niagara Falls, we discussed about the part-time jobs situation in Canada and also gave some tips for the new international students. It is important to have a job specific resume to grab a job in these days. Due to high immigration in major cities, there are not enough jobs for everyone. It is suggested to plan your Canada study in Advance and look for places that are excluding Toronto ,Vancouver, Montreal and major tier 1 cities. Due to low population in other provinces and smaller cities, people can easily first a part-time job there.
Some tips for international students included having a job specific resume and applying online to all the job posting. The traditional way of dropping you resume in all the restaurants, grocery stores, liquor stores, etc., might not work as plenty of people are already doing it. To make your resume specific, you must try to apply through references from your friends, seniors, alumini, family, etc., as it is a much more effective way. If someone is struggling to find a part0time job in Canada as a new immigrant then you can also register for Uber Eats Delivery through Uber Walk or Uber cycle. It is a good way to start making money if you are located closer to a Downtown area where there are a lot of restaurants and bars. I also started my part-time job with a DoorDash Food delivery app and you can easily make 20 CAD to 25 CAD per hour depending upon the tips from the customer. You can also buy a bicycle / bike for doing Uber delivery as it is a cheap way to get started. If you are not getting good response from Canadian employers then you can also take help from the Staffing agencies. These staffing agencies have tie ups with different industries and supply labor to these companies to meet their labor demand. If someone is looking for a starter job then you can start with a basic survival job with the help of these staffing agencies. The best part is that you have a flexible schedule and you can go to work as per your wish and on flexible days. You can easily get 2 shifts of 10 hours each through agencies whereas in normal job you will probably get 2 shifts of 8 hours shift so you get to work only 16 hours per week.
Upon reaching Niagara Falls, we also visited the Skylon Tower from wher you get the full view of Niagara Falls. The entry to Skylon Tower was only 20 CAD per entry. The view of Niagara Falls is breath taking. We planned to also take a ferry boat to go close to Niagara falls and they cost only 50 CAD per person. However, due to limited time, we decided to enjoy the view from outside itself. It is the best falls that depicts USA sharing international border with Canada. Many Indian students also consider Niagara Falls as a honeymoon destination as it is only 2 hours drive from Toronto. Overall, it was a great experience visiting Niagara Falls and I highly recommend going there if you come to Toronto GTA area.
