Well…you’ll just have to come down here! Oysters are available year round but, best in fall.
@Ucmpigs Next year, I'll have 48 weeks of vacation, starting Feb 1st, so I think I'll have enough time to come and check out them oysters 😄🤗

What a great ride. I love the OBX. Its about an 8 to 9 hour ride for me. Never when further south than Kitty Hawk. Most of the time I'm up north. I have never eaten oysters. I use to work for a place that steamed all kinds of seafood, but never made my way to the fresh side of the store.
Oh man! You have to go to the Southern Beaches. A lot less people. Hatteras and Ocracoke are so nice.

I don’t do raw unless it’s sushi grade tuna. But yeah, great ride.
mmmmmm oysters, fried and stewed are the only 2 ways I have eaten them, but I love fried oysters!
Oh man! You have to try roasted or broiled. Roasted you just put them on a cake pan in the grill close the lid until they pop open or broiled you shuck them and lay them directly on the grill. Add some hot sauce and they are delicious! With a cold beer. Thanks for stopping by Droop!
Nice you can ride to OBX easily. It’s about 4.5 hour drive for me. Now I can be in Kure Beach/Fort Fischer in about 50 minutes. I can eat fried oysters or oyster stew but not on the half shell. Wife loves them though.
Yeah, the OBX is pretty much our back yard. We love spending time down there.

Man i loved the OBX area when i was up there. I didn't ride the bike down from VA but the motorcycle rally and car show was great. I honestly enjoyed the car show week better but I might not have been going to the ride places for the rally. I did hit up both HD places and did the Demo Ride of the Pan America at the Nag Heads i think, the one downtown OBX on the strip.
