Everglades Challenge 2021 Start

This is the start of the 2012 Watertribe Everglades Challenge small craft adventure race from the mouth of Tampa Bay (Mullet Key beach) to Key Largo Florida. The starting day is usually blustery cold as it was this time. You have to be stalwart just to even finish the race. No engines allowed and no outside support once you leave.

I would love to do that adventure race in a Scamp or Scallywag that I have built. My wife has no idea why I insist she learn how to back up a trailer. I will obviously need a drive to come and get me at the end. 🙂
