I like how the beginning almost makes him sound like a villain but as it goes to "beautiful lie" it's like you're visiting that night and seeing why he is the way he is.
"There was a time above... a time before... there were perfect things... diamond absolutes. But things fall... things on earth. And what falls... is fallen. In the dream, it took me to the light. A beautiful lie."
You must watch the Extended Movie Gui Caldo. The extra footage makes the viewing experience way better. After i saw the Extended cut of Batman and Superman: Dawn Of Justice, watching the theateractrical version feels so awkward for me...
9:06 - 9:28 sounds like the perfect batman psychological music: shows how broken he is and deep down something has snapped, but also he is a demon and the embodiment of fear for criminals
This score at the beginning of the movie was amazing! Zack made the best wayne murder sequence ever. It even made me tear up. Seeing thomas wayne gripping his hand wanting to protect his family was so powerful. Not to mention every shot was made exactly like in TDKR
He freakin nailed it. I had chills I teared up. It was like watching the best comics panels of the Waynes' murder come to life. The details he gave that scene were amazing. right down to the Mark of Zorro playing at the theater. They couldn't have cast Bruce's parents more perfectly. They fit every image I've ever seen AND I could so easily see both taking up their roles in the Flashpoint universe.
It was Excalibur playing in this universe, not Mark of Zorro. Funnily enough, Superman's ''death'' at the end mirrors Arthur's death at the end of Excalibur, with both of them impaling their enemies while being impaled as well. I'm not the biggest fan of BvS, but that was a great touch!
I beg the DCEU to not do a Marvel, and keep these themes for the coming movies. The marvel movies are great but the music is underwelming 75% of the time (Avengers, Winter soldier and Guardians not included). This along with Superman's and Wonder woman's may be my favorite soundtracks in any superhero movie.
but Sups' MoS theme changed a bit in BvS. so it really hangs on the movie's concept and mood how much the composers change on a character's theme. CA1's and CA2's mood were different so of curz Cap's theme changed (although CA2's OSTs are really weak compared to Alan Silvestri's CA1 music).
that is because marvel had hans zimmer once for iron man and it was not that great so they stuck to others but yah bottom line marvel does not have hans anymore
+Mr JHerrera No. The people who said it sucked were just going with the crowd. I'm a comic nerd and BvS is my favourite film right next to Suicide Squad
Idk know why......but i want the theme for black suit spidey for the sequal to spider-man ps4 to be close to this theme.....aggressive and scary cuase when peter is in the symbiote.....he isnt spidey anymore but a spider-man that really strikes fear to the hearts of thugs and villains....what's yall oppinion....should it be close to this?
This version actually felt like he had a reason to be batman no matter how severe he was he was fucking amazing and I'm expecting Tom Holland to do the same as Spider-Man and I'm dead excited for suicide squad knowing Ben Affleck is in it all hail the Batfleck
So sad Elffman changed this beautiful and imponente theme for the classic one to use in JL, the Classic one is good, but it's nothing I would put on a mature and old Batman like this one is, it's supposed to be a retired, Batman, an old and tiered man, full with hate and rage, someone that has lost hope, the classic one fits more to a younger Batman, someone on the peak of its career, it's exiting, but not imposing
Before you all out hate Superman's part in the movie....remember Glen Ford's performance in Superman 1978 together with Kevin Costner's performance in Man of Steel. Where they impart onto Clark how responsible he should treat his powers. to me it was easy to see how all of that was weighing on him throughout the entire film. There are lots of great comics where Superman gets to show off his powers but here he had to walk on eggshells. that would be Superman in this real world. his role fit the film very well, imo.

This gives him an almost Dracula like tone to his theme. I like that a lot. I had to get used to it not being a typical superhero like Batman theme but I love it being so dark and brooding.
+batbat29640 yeah you get that feeling from those psycho strings you can hear in the action scenes with Batman. definitely highlights that he's feared by the criminal underworld
They should definitely give this theme or a variation of it for his solo film. I just loved his introduction scene. It made Batman less of a superhero and more of a brutal, almost demonic vigilante that will make you piss your pants if you ever see him.
***** yeah tbh, i found this action theme intoxicating. especially each time i hear the 5 note theme. it just screams dark justice and it greatly encaptures batman's angry, brooding nature
Sammy Lui i felt like it was a good batman theme FOR THIS MOVIE. it encompasses his anger towards the criminals that he seeks to bring to justice. it's that anger that, in the end, makes HIM the bad guy. with that in mind, i feel like his theme in future movies should be less "im gonna murder everyone in my path" and more "im BATMAN"
***** my thoughts exactly. if he's more heroic in the next movies he appears in, he needs a more heroic theme. it's exactly like you said, this theme fits THIS movie. this theme does not come in my mind at all when i imagine batman in calmer days. i think of the dark knight trilogy themes for that lol which btw has great progression from movie to movie. the tdk batman's hero theme started out darker and becomes progressively more triumphant and heroic with each movie, which i loved
I prefer The Dark Knight music by Hans Zimmer, it sounds more "postive", but his new Batman music with Junkie XL is still quite something! It has a mixture of Dark Knight and Danny Elfman's Batman music, great work!!!
+Sandro Mactavish shut up the Dark Knight Trilogy theme is behind Danny Elfmans score, this and the Batman forever theme. Dark Knight's fucking music was underwhelming
The theme is great. The suite looks a tad too much like a cartoon comic book look...maybe more layers and slightly bigger horns, but the color is awesome. The bat-mobile looks cool, but it sounds too much like those remote control toy cars...needs a little more roar. The action behind his fighting is perfect, maybe a little too perfect. His gadgets are awesome. I guess the last thing would be the whole debate about him and his one rule. Hopefully they stick to him trying not to break it anymore, since it is a big part of his character.
I love the "Beautiful Lie" metaphor, it's like an outlook on life itself which makes batman just much more darker but gives us a clear look into his philosophy, it really is all a beautiful lie when you think about it
A lot of people give this movie and Batman hate, but I love Ben Affleck as Batman, he is the most comic accurate, other than the killing of course, but I believe that would have been explained only if Zack Snyder had been given a chance to flesh out the characters, and he did realize he shouldn’t kill after fighting Superman. He is probably broken after the death of Dick and other friends, but this is the most badass and comic accurate Batman yet, and all the gadgets and his theme is fantastic, hopefully we’ll see more of it in the Snyder cut and also maybe in a Batman tv series on HBO Max, hopefully he’ll fight Deathstroke and Joker after he had killed Dick, even though I wish it was Jason.
I loved Batfleck because for the first time, I honestly felt intimidated. Batman's whole thing is causing people to fear him, and in this movie, it shows what that mindset will do to a man. "That's how it starts: the fever, the rage. The feeling of powerlessness, that turns good men... cruel."
Batman- King of DC Spider-Man- King of Marvel Ben Affleck truly was the best for the batman role Tom Holland seems so far to be a good spiderman hopefully as good as Afflecks batman
Back yet again on this fucking masterpiece. I am going to put this out there and say this is on par with the Star Wars theme. That's a big statement to make but I'm 36 and other than stuff by Philip Glass for CANDYMAN this deserves to be hailed and used in all the movies. It's so addictive and the strings are just mind smashing. Love it so much that I have remixed it Into a mash up on my next mixtape
Say what you want about the DCEU Batman, at least he wasn't a sociopath like Crazy Steve (I *refuse* to call that... _THING_ from Frank Miller's ASBAR Batman).
I have to tell you that Batman theme was done by Junkie XL, because Zimmer didnt want to do it, because he had done it earlier with dark knight trilogy :)
Anyone that said Zimmer has no talent has never listened to his The Last Samurai, Broken Arrow, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, INCEPTION, Man Of Steel and Sherlock Holmes motion picture soundtracks.

Superman’s theme- Hope, life, freedom
Wonder Woman’s theme- Action, Power, A Battle Cry
Just like how it should be
