You know what I like about this? Every time a streamer is removed, the music changes. It's like the town is slowly regain life and going back to normal.
the music direction in this game is so good. the fact that they had the idea to put in a gradual progression of the song from being minimalistic to this big band composition that is dependent on how much you've progressed through the game is nothing short of amazing. not to mention the reinforcement of the main leitmotif several times in the same song.
Credit goes to th-cam.com/video/i13K77BAL50/w-d-xo.html First the theme only consists out of marimba, accordeon and recorder. Red streamer clear makes the piano join, Blue makes the 'windquartet' (idk) join, Yellow makes the electric bass and drums join, Purple makes regular guitar and electric guitar join in, And finally after beating the green streamer, synths join the party. Adding more and more into toad town makes it more lively because of those instuments. Genius.
when sticker star released people thought paper mario was coming to an end, and color splash was fun but not great in any means, and people just didn't play this game because of those two. Great game and glad you're gonna play it! (i cried a few times just listening to these soundtracks)
To be completely honest I find value in all the Paper Mario games, even the modern ones people tend to dislike. But I totally understand that they're not always what people were hoping for.
Once there was a town that was being destroyed by the origami forces... A Red hero had returned to the place known as toad town. seeing it in shambles and surrounded by soldiers that looked like goombas, he explored the entirety of it to restore the peace so he could find a way to get to the no longer, Peach's Castle. After a while of exploring the world and finding the red and blue streamers, he returned to toad town once more and saw the town was slowly regaining it's citizens, the toads. After witnessing this it motivated him to find the other streamers as fast as possible. After finding and destroying the yellow and purple streamers he came back to see if the town was filled with even more toads than before. In which case there were and at this point he finally felt like it had turned to a true safe haven. He then set off to find the final streamer and defeat Olly. After getting the final streamer he headed to the castle with Olivia and Bowser on his side they finally found Olly and after having a fierce fight he beat Olly, saved the paper mushroom kingdom, and restored the remaining origami soldiers to their original paper form but even after these events he may have saved the world but lost a beloved friend in the process...
After he returned to Toad town with Peach and Luigi they then held the origami festival which brought joy to all who took part in it. At this point toad town had finally been restored to it's former glory... At the end of the day they go to see the toad who gave birth to Olly through the forbidden origami power. They saw he made a mini orgami castle with two thrones in which a chibi origami Olly and Olivia sat as to honor them
i can see myself making a game that i call GHOST RICK ADVENTURES i get send to a mysterius world and the place i wake up in that world is a abonded town and during my adventure i can see out people to help build the village in a blooming place of life

The music in this game is nothing short of a masterpiece.

Agreed it's like the peace is being restored to the world slowly one streamer at a time
(Then again it quite literally is in pmtok)
Same thing as the world map medley in color splash, changes everytime a new big paint star is acquired.
I may not be the biggest fan of the newer paper Mario games but I’d be lying to myself if I didn’t say they have absolutely banger soundtracks

Just saying, koji kondo and yoshi's island 2 did it first, but it is still amazing music.
Color Splash has another notable use of progressive music. The World Map theme is really good!
PMOK has the best sound track out of any paper Mario game, you can feel all the care and detail that went into each track.
Fun fact: every time a streamer is cleared a new instument is added to the mix!

Genius.

I’m having nostalgia for a game that came out a year ago wtf
this game definitely has amazing music, could listen to it all day
This is were me and the toads live in peace. But King Olly has to ruin everything!
The transitions are so good, what the fuck
you just made my favorite paper mario's games soundtracks better. and they were already the best.

Keep in mind that this is actually the canonical 100% Paper Mario: The Origami King ending
And this is the legend of the origami war...
Thank you so much for this compilation!
You should’ve added Museum version after the Port
Don't forget about the barista variant
Dagnabbit. Well, lemme finish revising the Battle Medley and I'll add those two in.
@@davidii4452 Never heard Barista variant
