- New Personal Best: • Far Cry 4 - Any% Speed...
SUB 2 HOURS! Finally! It took quite a grind, but I finally got it!
This Skip Cutscenes mod really makes for a fun speedrun. You can optimize the run much more easily than you can in the standard Any% run, because your runs are about 1h 23m shorter.
I lost about 20 seconds in Return to Sender due to AI BS, about 1 minute after Mouth of Madness due to buzzer RNG BS, and about 20 seconds in Ashes to Ashes due to more AI BS. But boy am I glad that I powered through these annoying time losses. I am so thrilled that I got it 😁
This run was done on patch 1.4, which means I was able to get the invisibility glitch.

Never knew that you can actually kill him, completed this game countless times and I delivered Paul to the the path in every playthrough.

I'm not sure, but can't you disable looting animations which might save you some time?
You can only do that in 1.10, and I don't have the invisibility glitch in that patch 😊 but yes, that would definitely save some time. Probably a good 10 seconds, maybe more.

I'm playing on patch 1.4 where you sadly cannot turn them off. That is only possible in the latest patch

Not quite. I get rid of it just before Kill The Messenger. But I have it from the arena to kill the messenger, where there are a few missions where it saves a bit more time that it takes to get the glitch.
I berate this time i did it in 20 min ( you kino waiting 15 min for the guy to spoil the game ending and the credit will role ez )

So you just be kill by a animals that put you in a quick time event and you will become John Cena ?
In the arena, you have to be killed by an animal in a QTE. Then quit out of the arena after dying, and voila: you are invisible 😄 that is, until you heal, reload checkpoint, die, and a few other things.

It would definitely save time, but it is sadly not possible on patch 1.4. That is only a feature in the newest patch, 1.10.
You could just sit there at the start for 15 minutes and then the guy comes back and you beat the game

@@Binslev People often say the game developers don't offer choice or, when they do, not real choices with real consequences. So the developers gave you the option to not play the game at all. That easter egg was a nice joke in FC4.

You should keep in mind that this run was done with a mod that removes cutscenes. The current WR with cutscenes is 3h 19m. Not a big consolation, but still 😊

You can buy it at a store under "items" after the mission Insurgency, which I complete at around 18:35 😊
