This is the first time for me to get at least a short insight into vector math. Now I have to go deeper into this. Thank you very much.

Step by step 💪Try to practice so you feel more comfortable with vectors. If one want to be a pro with Geometry Nodes then it has to go through vectors in some moment.
I remember my first tutorial watching vectors math, and I was: "wow, that's complicated, I don't think I need to know how to use them". Some months later: "okay, If I want to achieve some things in GN then I need to have some basic vectors math nodes 😅".
Think that at the end, Blender works with coordinates (X, Y, Z) and the program always need to know 📍WHERE to locate things to show it to you or to animate it. So, we need to use vectors to communicate how we want things to happen.
So, more nodes you know, more tools you have to communicate to Blender with GN to say what you want to achieve. It's his language, and the nodes are the words. So, we need to put the words/nodes in the right order to create sentences/actions and get results :)

Not only is this a great explanation, but you give us a toy to play with to help us visualize the results. I had to do vector math by hand back in the '80s. This is alot more fun.

I think the same, If when I was younger I had a program like Blender or my teacher could show me how to do vectors with a program like this and how to play with it, it would have been more fun and interesting to learn. Moreover, we could see useful examples to apply it, like in 3D animations like we do. Since I started with Geometry Nodes I just become more interesting in Maths (Sin, Pi, Vectors, etc) 😃
