@@Moraidos I understand your points, but even with that in mind, if you compare Yu-Gi-Oh! with other shows from before or around the same time, you can notice a certain lack of quality. Aside from good drawings, there isn't really a scene that stands out, which used to happen on even other shows made by Toei. The color pallette was also very questionable most of the time, and not even because of the color choices for the characters, but how saturated and unpleasing they looked, and I'm pretty sure that's not due the old video quality.
this movie is an ending of the classic Game of Darkness Era and heads into Duel Monster with a ton of Card Battle era and I feel sad for Miho that she does not make it to Duel Monster 😢
Yeah, I'm sure she is not the main character in the manga but in the original Yu-Gi-Oh anime she is one of the characters in Yugi's group, and as you may notice they changed a lot of things from manga in anime. So Miho got more screen time in anime and have a more slightly important role as one of the main character group and I guess I who enjoyed season 0 of Yu-Gi-Oh as much as manga can be sad that the one of character the in original anime adaptation didn't make it in Duel Monster
Right? Miho is so underrated. I really like the dynamic she added to the rest of the group. It's a great addition Toei did to include her in the main cast.
To Kaiba,Atem's like a package deal.An experience. He's the one that create the hologram monsters. He's the one person that Kaiba loses to in Duel Monsters. He gave Kaiba something to remember. Its their first duel and already Atem's influencing him a lot.Its Kaiba who thinks hologram monsters was a great marketing scheme.Atem's a big inspiration to Kaiba as Kaiba is to him when they duel. There's a reason why these guys are the best rivals ever.As they say,the extreme always makes an impression
2:00: Fun fact: the "potential" motif of the Red-Eyes Black Dragon is what inspired the creation of Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon. Take a close look at Dragoon's 3 effects. The first one negates and destroys something that activates its effect, and the second effect pops 2 monsters. Do you know WHY it pops 2? Because it was designed with the God Cards in mind! The negate kills Slifer when it attempts to activate its Second Mouth ability, while the double pop takes care of Obelisk and Ra! With the power of friendship (Yu-Jo), Red-Eyes reaches its full potential and becomes powerful enough to defeat even the gods.
20:28 you ever notice that kaiba's so-called trump card has absolutely no practical effect? if he just continued the duel with a single blue-eyes the duel would have gone the same way, he's really just flexing
Looking at the Bandai card game's take on this combined Blue-Eyes, it has the same stats as Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon; 4500 ATK and 3000 DEF, so it _is_ notably harder to beat over. ...However, the Bandai game would often change stats compared to the manga and Toei anime which makes it not particularly reliable, and it _also_ says Meteor Black Dragon only has 3500 ATK; which would mean it absolutely could not have taken on the combined Blue-Eyes like it does here. /shrug

Thank you for uploading this series
Way better than the American counterpart. Ty for the upload!! I love their accents when they say a cards name in English
Funny cuz the game and film was never aimed at kids. At least not under teen.
16:05 Now I get it. To put a monster into attack mode, the card must be positioned vertically; and in defense mode, horizontally.

There's something so strange and mesmerizing about seeing the 90's Yu-Gi-Oh show with good animation.
É porque é um filme...
@@Moraidos That doesn't excuse how poor the show itself looked even for its time, so I'm glad this movie exists to give these characters a chance to shine more.
The color pallette was also very questionable most of the time, and not even because of the color choices for the characters, but how saturated and unpleasing they looked, and I'm pretty sure that's not due the old video quality.
this movie is an ending of the classic Game of Darkness Era and heads into Duel Monster with a ton of Card Battle era
and I feel sad for Miho that she does not make it to Duel Monster 😢
Why are you feeling sad when Miho as a character is almost non-existence in the manga? Lol
I sometimes wonder what sort of deck they would have given her if she had been included in Duel Links. 🤔
Right? Miho is so underrated. I really like the dynamic she added to the rest of the group. It's a great addition Toei did to include her in the main cast.
19:09 The closest thing the Japanese anime had to "You activated my Trap Card"
Watching this for the first time today not knowing that it exists brings me hope. Thank you for the movie 🍿 🍿!!

This japanese intro songs make me want to live back in the innocent and pure 90‘s again
I remember watching this a few years ago on an anime website that got taken down. This movie brings back memories from that time

They were.
Appreciate the extra mile working in the subs on the TH-cam video instead of in the video
Much cleaner 👏
To Kaiba,Atem's like a package deal.An experience. He's the one that create the hologram monsters. He's the one person that Kaiba loses to in Duel Monsters. He gave Kaiba something to remember. Its their first duel and already Atem's influencing him a lot.Its Kaiba who thinks hologram monsters was a great marketing scheme.Atem's a big inspiration to Kaiba as Kaiba is to him when they duel. There's a reason why these guys are the best rivals ever.As they say,the extreme always makes an impression
No wonder Jonnouchi got the Red Eyes in "Duel Monsters." It fits him to a tee.
Wish we could’ve seen that kid more and Tristan’s girlfriend

Awesome yugioh movie it reminded me little bit of Pokemon movie Mewtwo
Lol I always liked that the red eyes had blood stains on it from the Joey fight and you can see it on the hologram 21:57
5:29 Literally everyone whenever there's a new 100 dollars or above card in another person's possession.
2:21 one of the best intro songs EVER!
Oh so this is before Duelist Kingdom... I've heard that this was the Season Zero movie. 0.5?
It's funny how it took Toei 27 episodes and a freaking movie to got Kaiba's hair color right lol
Screw the right hair color we have money
-Toei probably
This is crazy to see now. I just binged the first yugioh show series and went to see the chronicle order and kept digging to find this
2:00: Fun fact: the "potential" motif of the Red-Eyes Black Dragon is what inspired the creation of Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon.
Right up until Immortal Phoenix activates
Such a pity it never made an animated appearance.
Such a pity yo gi oh did not get banned.the power of friendship is disease that needs to be clensed out of people
I watched this all the time and now the fans have finally dubbed this movie…

you ever notice that kaiba's so-called trump card has absolutely no practical effect? if he just continued the duel with a single blue-eyes the duel would have gone the same way, he's really just flexing
Kaiba's gotta flex
A Trump Card doesn't really need to have an Effect, you know?
Looking at the Bandai card game's take on this combined Blue-Eyes, it has the same stats as Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon; 4500 ATK and 3000 DEF, so it _is_ notably harder to beat over.
...However, the Bandai game would often change stats compared to the manga and Toei anime which makes it not particularly reliable, and it _also_ says Meteor Black Dragon only has 3500 ATK; which would mean it absolutely could not have taken on the combined Blue-Eyes like it does here. /shrug
