I was late to the party but I just want to say I enjoy the show. I like the vibes, all the personalities, and the in-depth discussion on a variety of topics. I only play TF2 casually, and while I like the game, I'm glad it's not all you guys talk about.
I almost never watch UFR live because I sleep at that time, but I wish I hadn't on this occasion. Can't believe it's already been one year, love the show!
Also, I really like how people fail to explain why Scooby is important, which he isn't. The panel thinks that FilthyTea's take is rage bait and that without Scooby, it's just the Velma show which would be true if the Velma show was just like any other Scooby Doo show but without Scooby. Chat just says "wrong take" and "Scooby is so important" and never elaborates, as per usual online. One guy typed that Fred is the least important one, the guy who drives the van and who comes up with a plan to stop the bad guy, yeah who needs him, am I right? Lister is the only one who said it right at first, he is just Shaggy 2. He does all the things that Shaggy does, but as a dog. Lucid originally said that without Scooby, everything would just be the same, but then he got swayed by Bradley's ass backwards Velma show take.
I was joking, I don't actually think Velma's quality is dependent on whether or not Scooby's in it lol. I do see how Scooby can appear a little redundant in the group dynamic though
1:27:13 no zesty, your wrong, 10 minutes is not enough to judge TF2C, you make injustice to it. When you enter the game - first thing you see is official servers on menu, that are vanilla without custom weapons. Custom weapons is a secondary thing to tf2c, much like saxton hale or freak fortress. Also Richter's take on jumpads is bs, they are a perfectly fine sidegrade: you change the ability to instantly teleport teammates for supporting them by making hard-to-reach places accessible for everyone, even for soldiers and demos cause that way they dont need to deal damage themselves. TF2 maps are actually built for that, cause if they weren't - soldier's and demo's same ability (access to places) would be absolete.
Velma wasn’t bad just because Scooby was gone, it was bad because every character was terrible and it was always unfunny and had almost nothing to do with the original property. Someone replied to my original comment, and I think someone said the same thing on this episode, but he’s just shaggy 2, but even then, Shaggy is just a better character who brings more to the table.
